King Darious My Take: I've come to the conclusion that my fellow Lakers fans lose the ability to reason whenever the free agency period approaches. Oh, how all of you will be disappointed when no one comes here. I suggest you just enjoy the awesome young core (Ball-Hart-Ingram-Kuzma-Randle) we have and let the rest take care of itself. Why ponder (and waste time) on topics or players that potentially might want to come here? That's not optimal. It's kind of tiring to see this happen for the sixth time in a row: Media toys with us Lakers fans. The fans build their hopes up sky high and, thereafter, see them come crashing down on July 10th. One thing and only thing one is true: a change in management and an awesome young core puts us closer to acquiring the big name free agents, but nothing is guaranteed. There are front offices and young cores better then that of the Lakers and free agents might also want to choose them. Specific players: Lebron has never indicated that he'd want to play for the Lakers. If he has, please provide me a reliable source. Kawhi is currently playing for the Spurs. There is no indication that he, or the Spurs, have talked about trades. Again, if there is a competent source that says otherwise, talk to me. Moreover, a fact (amidst a bunch of hogwash rumors and speculation) is that Greg Popovich is well known to never trade players away to teams present in the same conference as the Spurs. That's a fact. Lastly, ask yourself, when Kobe demanded a trade in 2007, did we trade him away? I'll digress. Klay Thompson will retire a Warrior. If you haven't heard, he's going to be signing an extension with the Warriors shortly. Boogie Cousins = too much risk. Now, Paul George: He said he would "love" to play for his hometown. He wished the Lakers would've traded for him last year. So, there is a possibility that this specific all star joins us. However, many things have changed in a year. Other young, better teams have emerged. Who knows what Paul decides to do. I personally believe he'll go to the Sixers. Others believe he'll come to us. But, the fact is we don't know. Another fact. Things have changed since last year. We simply don't know. So, I suggest that my fellow Lakers fans enjoy the young core and stop with this nonsense of worrying about decisions not under our control. It makes us look weak. It makes us look like we don't have confidence in our existing young core. It makes us feel like hopeless asking for some help from the outside.
Gotta stay healthy and his coach needs to give him over 30 minutes. Dude is averaging 21,5 and 7 per 36. He's clearly an All-Star once everything goes right.
His game resembles James Harden so much it’s insane. He’s always got the green light to be a scorer but he has that unexpected amazing passing skill that can actually be called elite. It looks like he can switch between being a pure scorer to a playmaker with incredible passing. At least, he reminds me a lot of James Harden.
@@peterbryan3971 What type of comment is this? I know I’m 2 years late and Dlo developed into an allstar while Kuzma is a role player, but that was honestly a bad take. Since the moment Dlo stepped into the league, he wasn’t afraid of the big moment, most of his best moments take place in the clutch. At this point in their careers’ Dlo is the best player, that comment didn’t age well...
Still hate Magic for giving up on Russell so fast. If he’s your 2nd or 3rd best player you can really compete, would like to see him in Philly playing off ball with Ben Simmons. Smooth game.
bob saget Josh Hart averaged 6 less points and 2 less assists lmao in both of their rookie seasons and 0.6 less assists lmao. Dlo is a better scorer by a lot a better passer a more capable rebounder not to mention his ceiling is way higher and he is younger aswell.
em be hart is a better rebounder and was averaging a double double before he got hurt and the Lakers were clicking before that too because he was starting at sg, hart has grit and toughness plays defense, defense is something d slow doesn't know nothing about
I've always rooted for this guy, he's a two but can be a 1 on pick and roll situations. More of like how Harden and Capella run theirs. Imagine how awesome it is to watch this guy on Mike D'Antoni's offense. Wew, good luck D'Lo
Great job predicting the future 2018-19: -only missed one game -Made an allstar team while averaging 21 points and 7 assists -Led the Nets to the sixth seed
Give it some time, players are gonna be lining up to play with D-Lo. Before Lin's injury, Lin and Russell was suppose to be the Nets' backcourt. Imagine the points those two could have put up together.
Nets are gonna make the playoffs next year, Mark my words, especially if they get parker/Gordon them boys can cook, if they want to tank 2019 starting they get all their picks back. They should make a run. Dinwiddie PG Russel SG Jefferson/Levert Parker PF Allen C
Not necessarily explosiveness so much , a little yes , but , finishing with his off hand , adding strength , and his footwork and he'll be fine. They can't guard him already despite those flaws I just mentioned.
I never knew that He was actually a solid player Who can be a spot up shooter or shoot of the screen and create his own shot He's also wonderful passer with vision better than London balls Lakers shouldn't traded he could've helped lebron
Russell’s shot release is one of my favorites in the NBA. It’s so smooth and just butter when it goes in. I wish lakers could’ve kept him along side lonzo because he’s just a pure shooter and has good passing skills. The thing about Russell though is that he’s just slow and lakers want to play a faster tempo. Whereas russell plays a more controlled tempo. Guarantee in 2-3 years this guy is gonna be an all star
watching his game is like no other in the league, something about the passes he makes, he has complete control of the ball idk hes just inspiring to watch
you can tell hes main strength is on the left side of the court.. yes ik hes a lefty but as a primary ball handler u should utilize both hands...he still a baller tho
Nets wouldn’t have done the trade unless it was either DLo or BI. But if they didn’t do that trade all together they could’ve had a core of DLo, Tatum, BI, Kuz and Randle, although I like the roster more now
JA was so much more comfortable with D’lo. Made him feel like the superstar he is. KD and Kyrie might be necessary pressure for his growth but I feel like he doesn’t enjoy himself as much anymore
I was hoping a James Harden like season when he got traded to the rockets. Anyway I love the way the franchise is going. Im a huge nets fan. We cant just take a break with our pgs. Starting when dwill was here.
look at the minutes they played Lonzo played 35 minutes a game while Russell only played 27 lmao. Check their per 36 stats and Russell gets more points responsible for compared to Lonzo lol plus isnt it funny how Lonzo's per 36 is identical to his original stats cause its just sad
Underrated passer. Pre draft people knew this kid could pass but as he grows a player it seems he is known more as a score first point and he somewhat is but he is a really gifted passer as well
I feel like the Lakers did D Lo dirty by trading him...him and Zo could’ve co existed for sure. That being said the Lakers did end up with Kuzma so I guess it worked out
