To me this is one of the best videos of Ethiopian music ever made....the choreography using young and abundant Ethiopian talent and additional dramatization is something I have never seen in any other video.....now wonder it was made by Abraham and the lovely voice of Netsanet
This song was dedicated to those who lost their lives by Ethiopian Airlines 409 that crushed in January 25 . 2010 immediately after taking off from Berut killing all the passangers including the entire crue mebers on board. There were also were some Ethiopian girls who never seen their families for over 10 years and were going home for the first time in decades to see their families. At that time I too was in a foriegn land and cired a lot for those who are far from their homeland to change their life for years just like everyone of us. It was in June 2010 that this video has been released as a dedecation of the lives we lost. So whenever I hear this song I remember those lives and cry. This song remains always as their memory of all the time. May they rest in Peace. Amen

But let me continue. "Missed ones, yes When they voyage Eyes don't sleep Crying uselessly Let the crying cease For permission is given by him (God)" Alright well I'm not a professional translator and will not pretend to be. I think there is a lot of interpreting that can be done here regardless of translation. "Having accomplished many worthy achievements People at death are buried with grief Surely we should dance instead Isn't this part of life, the timely death of one? Why are we sad when one leaves his father?" There is so much meaning and lessons in this song that I will end on this note in fear of misleading others. She actually sang at my parents wedding in Addis.

This is one of the best music videos. Netsu's smoky voice can be addictive. Abraham Wolde is the absolute best in his craft. EAL crash in Lebanon was tragic. Death was still mourned back then. Anyway, great vid and great song.
This something all ethiopian should be proud of and produce more of thisnot the one who forcefully Amarican wanna be cheap artist...if I want to see American like, I will listen/watch from the originals not from a copy cats. for those of you who wants to demonetize every thing, get a life. or do something better than this . @love4JBs thank you
@mnur22 ....omg i dont know what u guys see beyond this beautiful creativity...i am Muslim Ethiopian and i do NOT have any problem seen a cross being part of this production. when some one dies, we hung a cross as a symbol if he/she is christian. i dont see any signification of the cross or any other religious symbolic items being add to the production other than just to correlate it with the lyrics. You guys need to stop reading between lines and splitting words...
you dont think there is enough hate out there u had to bring it here??? we all human beings ... one under God's eye.. how hard is it to just let each other be without hating.. N whats worse is that we are all Ethiopians here splitting hair just so we can have a higher ground over the other... Lord have Merci cuz we are screwed... we can never get anywhere is we keep steppin on each other like this... Just think about it
@Tommygboy You have seen how they have been cynical about the whole thing! Even hating a person who is dead…he who would get his judgment from only God…I don’t know how they envy to get to the top when what they only know is to pull each other down.
