This video is awesome. It answered so many basic wf configuration setting questions I had specifically around no having to configure the Event Definition fields at the header level because these actions can be set at the Action level. Instructor led training is so much more helpful that trying to figure things out from a Help document that never explains the "WHY" you are doing something.
Hi Rob, I'm glad you found the video helpful. I have a lot of other important Admin training videos in my Administrator Fundamentals course if you need more!
Thank you so much for the video sir. Thank you for making me being useful at work. 😢 Maybe after this I’ll stop trying to solve everything with Client Script.
I agree. After such a detailed and excellent series of vedios on Netsuite I too am surprised with so few comments. May be the community of user is small. Anyways, just wanted to say that your precise yet comprehensive explanantions are just awesome and super helpful. Beats the original NetSuite videos by a mile. Thankyou
Very easy to understand! Great explanations! I am new to NetSuite so I find your videos very helpful! Do you have a video on bill capture with several invoices? Thanks :)
You're very welcome, I'm glad the videos are helpful! Coincidentally, I just filmed a video on A/R and billing a couple days ago. The downside is that lesson is part of a course that won't be released for several weeks. But if you subscribe, you'll definitely see it when it comes out!
@@SuiteCris i just subscribed and cant wait to see the bill capture lesson, and also want to know the netsuite deployment with a brief full life cycle video
Would love a video on how to create a workflow that automatically sends new invoices to customers when the invoice is created! Maybe that’s just me though!
That is actually a phenomenal idea! I could make a whole series of videos that are super short and show how to make specific workflows. Ok, give me a little time to wrap up some projects and I'll totally do that. Thanks Matt!
Theoretically you could customize the system to do that, however, I don't know how much better it would be for performance. A better recommendation is only run the logs until you know the workflow is running appropriately in all foreseeable circumstances.
@@SuiteCristhanks for the prompt response, appreciate it. I am looking for a high level Administrator video. I’ve been administering Netsuite alongside 3 other ERPs and over a dozen others (HRIS, LMS, Legal CRM, etc) so I can’t say I master any of them (NAV 09,13, BC, GreatPlains, and Netsuite) I am applying to a role where I’ll be mainly focusing on Netsuite and other non-ERPs systems… any video that can give me very high level of the main administrative tasks (roles, permissions, custom objects, scripting, workflows, reports, and dashboards) TIA
You're welcome. Sounds like you're pretty deep into it, I don't know that a single "high level" video is going to be of much use to you. I mean your sentence describing the main responsibilities of an Admin (roles, customizations, workflows, etc) is basically the high level overview. If you want some more information on each tool, I have videos on RU-vid for literally every topic you brought up. I know it takes time to watch hours of content, but unfortunately, it takes most people years to get proficient with NetSuite. Good luck!
When I open the visual builder, the field type of "Preferred Payment Method" is not available (@18:23). Am I missing something? I followed all of your steps so far but that field type is not showing up for me.
Hi Husam, if memory serves me correctly, Preferred Payment Method was a custom field I had added to the Customer Records in an earlier video (this video was made at the same time I was making the Administrator's Course). So you wouldn't have it on your side.
That video is in the Administrators Course. Basically, what I do is I make a course and about 25% of what I teach in the course, I turn around and make RU-vid videos about.
It totally depends on you. If you like working with systems and have an inclination towards accounting or I/T functions, then yes, NetSuite can be a great career path.
Hi Lacy. I don't have a video on that exact example, but I did a video that shows a technique that can be easily extrapolated to your purpose: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JTsTZpOlmHo.html
I actually did one recently where I cover KPI scorecards. It's in my SuiteFoundation course (the video on the Home Dashboard). Is that sufficient or are you looking for more?
