Started watching your videos when I started looking for a job, and now have been a network admin for a year and am going for a CCNA. Thank you for the videos and Hope the best with the new cisco switches
if you know your job than the CCNA is just the piece off paper , you can have it and its not must to have it , cisko made his own standards , its like i working with Microtics now 8 years and Im good in that , without any certificates , my intension is once to made those trainings and have MTCNA and MTCRE and get those but im working fine without them@@P8860
i think these vids are both informative and enjoyable even tho im no longer working i can at least watch what i missed out on! as to negative comments... minus! 😂😂 seriously tho, negative comments are unnecessary and pointless, please keep them to yourselves so those of us who do want to enjoy this channel can 😊
Zip in a shelf underneath to help support the switch. May need the shelf upside down depending on the type of shelf. Then get all switch screws out and slide it out.
no need for negative comments.. i bet these people that create negative comments havent even bothered setting up there own channel. thankyou for another vid scott..god gless
Good evening sir! God bless you for recording your experience in networking. I am studying in Montana for my degree in A.S networking & cybersecurity degree. I wanted to ask is how long it took for you to fully understand the networking and all its protocols. I been having trouble with fully understanding the networking basics as the class was confusing. Thank you and have a blessed day!
Well, not to discourage you but it's been an ongoing lifelong pursuit. I've taken a few networking classes over the years but it's mostly been on the job training for me. The hardest concept for me to wrap my head around was subnetting. Now it's second nature. The longer you're exposed to things the more they will make sense. God bless!
Grace be with you & prayers for SJ. Stellar pro tip! I came across your channel as A.S. Net Admin diploma earner in Sacramento & CCNA two years ago. I’ve slowed the pace of my career & I’m getting up there in age as well. It was a challenge being a part of a NOC team; waking up my senior team members to flap a port or find a duplex mismatch between 50 hops & multiple media converters was a valuable experience I’ve been blessed with. Now with my current role I’m training new members to the IT community on our client’s pallets of retired equipment. Properly decommissioning Extreme network equipment & preparing it for resale is somewhat fun but time consuming process to show someone that’s never used a CLI before! I get to hear jokes that make me scratch my head like why did the router get sunburned? Thank you for sharing your perspective, your patience & continuing to be an inspiration to myself when I’m faced with oh, SPF 50+ summer days in the valley.
it's better to support the switch for the full depth when installing or removing, don't just let them hang from the "ears" the erase sounds like it wipes the storage on the switch, so it would remove the different builds of the OS, any configs, and any licenses, etc.
That's why I didn't erase from the boot ROM. It clears out EVERYTHING including the OS. You have to re-load everything. All I really wanted was the existing config gone. The unconfigure command was best suited for that. If I were to e-waste the switch I would erase everything from the boot ROM. God bless!
Good Day and Grace & Peace to you and yours!! Thanks for another great learning opportunity! I always enjoy the hands-on videos where we get to see things work or not work! And a special thank you and all the brothers in sisters in Christ for the prayers! Please continue to pray as I will for you all! Can't wait to see what you have for us next week! Until then, be well, be safe and God Bless!🙏🏽
