I can do both and really like both, but I would lean more to the networking side. My current job title is Network Specialist but also deal with some system administration as well.

Can guarantee you no matter which one you’re going to focus on you’re going to need to know both fields because of their close relation, and because of the increasing prevalence of virtualization, principally with VMware, but not only that. You still should know how to plug a console cable into a switch and manually configure it. Sometimes you’re simply going to have to do that.

Yes I would suggest doing A+ as well as Net+ to learn some of the basic computer and networking concepts before doing CCNA.

It depends on the organization but for IP based paging systems this would more likely fall under network administrators

It depends on the enviroment yoi'd be working in. Security +, CCNA, AWS associated, Azure fundementals are some good ones to start with.

Sir I learn aws cloud computing course but as fresher no jobs. all companies asking 2+ exp candidates only, now I am looking to system administrator course, little bit cloud and system administrator both are same are different.?

For systems administrator I would also recommend learning linux and python, since they are high in demand

If you would like to also have knowledge about enterprise networking then you should take ccna, however if not ccna is not neccessary

Cybersecurity is an entirely different field but it comprises of both network/sys admin technologies

A lot of young sys admins can’t manually configure a switch if need be. It’s a problem. They should know. Scripts don’t always run. GUIs don’t always work.

Hi yes in smaller organizations this is usually the case, however in larger ones these roles are usually specialized

Some network admin positions due as they use python to automate deployments, so it's a good skill to learn

With the current COVID-19 pandemic a lot of IT remote jobs are available, software development and cloud computing seems to be the most popular. I would recommend certs pertaining to AWS or Azure would definitely great to have.

I won't say alot but defintely if you're looking at the networking field, you need to have adequate math skills, since you'll be doing subnetting.

Working in cybersecurity requires you to have some basic knowledge of network and system administration, also combined with knowledge of linux, python and cybersecurity methodologies

@@rendeleon while a helpdesk position gives you a broad understanding of how things work, a network admin position is a more advance post, as it allows you to specialize in this field. It really boils down to what you what if money is the main goal, then go with the helpdesk post, if career development is go with the network admin post.

I almost sounds like Network Admins are the physical and System Admin are the logical.

Both jobs actually incorporate physical and logical elements, however the equipment they administer are different. Network admins deal more with switches, routers, firewalls, Access Points etc. System admins deal more with Servers, SAN's etc.

@@JoshuasTechTips Just got a IT Tech I job with Hard Rock and had a good talk with both the Network Admin, System Admin, and ISO. One thing about folks in IT is that they have no problem talking in depth about what they do for a living. :P

Not sure what you mean ? But network admins are responsible for both vlans (virtual lans) and wlans (wireless lans)
