I put this in over the weekend. Relatively short run with direct end to end (no splitters) and in general its really fast... with some issues. First speedtest produced 800+ Mbps down and 800+ Mbps up. Was really excited and went to get the wife to show her we weren't going to have to cut up sheet rock and wall fish new cables. Re-ran speed test and got consistently 800+ Mbps. Time will tell if this is good for our purposes. Mainly gaming and streaming. Glad I found it and watched this review. Thanks!

Got one from PLE. Im really impressed. I have 2 storey house and EoP wasnt giving any good speed ( in fact, slower than wifi). MoCa gives 780-820Mbps on a gigabit network. Direct lan is around 920-930Mbps. Can higly recommend, great little solution.

Sorry to nit-pic, but the Rg6 co-axial cable used for most TV, Optus and NBN HFC cable has a steel center core that is only plated with copper. One of the common exceptions to this is the Green RG6 co-axial cable that is used for NBN Satellite, that has a solid copper core. Both types of cable work more or less the same regarding data transmision charastics, however the solid copper ones handle volatge better.

Nice gear. Would be interesting if you could do a test with 100mt of coax. HFC network was designed for gigabit speed and that's with pay TV over it. Some of those coax runs would be around 100mts. Cheers

Greatest solution for renters or older home where you can’t just run CAT6.

Hello, I have a question: I live in a small apartment behind my landlords larger house. He has a Spectrum cable box, modem, and wifi router towards the front of his house, (There's an additional Spectrum cable box in my bedroom for my TV, on his same account). I use his wifi signal to connect my bedroom laptop to the Internet, but the signal is very weak, even with an extender I purchased and connected. So my question is this: would it be as simple as just splitting the coaxil cable that goes into my cable box and connecting a 3rd party modem for a legitimate strong Internet signal which I can run to my laptop with an Ethernet cable? Thank you.

I'm confused about how to connect the Asus adapters. My goal is to hard wire connect a laptop computer in the master bedroom of my house. I don't use wifi because I am sensitive to RF. I want to connect one adapter to my laptop in the master bedroom (there is unused coax cable in the wall there) and one to the coax cable in the wall in the office where my modem and router are. No cable TV is used in the house. My router is Asus and my modem is Lynksys. In the office, do I connect the adapter to the coax cable in the wall? Or to my modem or router? How would I connect it to my modem because my modem already has the coax cable connected to it (from the wall). Currently, the coax cable in the wall in the office is connected to the modem and an ethernet cable runs from the modem to the router to give hard wire internet connection to a desktop PC in the office. In the modem, there is only one slot available for the coax and one for the ethernet. In the office, do I connect the ethernet cable into the modem or the router? I need step by step directions for my set up please. In the USA. Thank you!

I'd love to see a video where you try different kinds of wire, including a length of wet string to see what the difference in speeds are :) (reference to an OLD ADSL 2 test)

Haha… it might be a fun test… but of PTSD too

Do they make a multiple coax to dsl junction? We need 4 coax runs to cover our house and casita. That would mean 4 adapters and power for each at the router. LMK

If you have the splitters an 2 2 packs ( 4 ), one at modem and 3 'outputs' ( computers etc ) will that work or only one to one?

@@jimdery2920 hfc media converter the older form of hfc internet cabletv/cable internet via cable service I think pat lived within a cable tv/internet noted to get rated speed you would be looking towards rg-6 or better 75ohm cable on standard single shield/double shied cable speed at distance will vary..

If you are having trouble with slow upload speeds.. After hours and hours of trying. The only thing that fix it is to have a Ethernet to USB type C afapter. And conect the ethernet cat6 to the adapter , but you computer have to have a type C usb port.... Not is showing as Ethernet 2... And its solved.... Dont know why
