Let's take an extended listen to both the Neumann U87ai and the transformerless TLM-67 to hear how they compare. Mics with and without transformers have their own place in voice over which is why I'm also interested in finding out more about the upcoming mics from ‪@aimaudio‬ that claim to have both a transformer and transformerless circuits inside. Plus, let me read from their great webpage about the tranformer vs transformerless.
Let me know what you think. Your opinion matters.

Interesting product. Did you contact them? if not, you should! As for the U87 and the TLM67, I prefer the richness of the U87 - and also the transformer saturation and slight compression. But the 67 sounds great! Both in one? IMPOSSIBLE!

I have sent an inquiry to AIM mics, but have not heard back. Since they haven't released it yet, it may be too early, but I'm hoping they respond.

That aim mic does sound interesting. your 87 sounds a bit warmer and i like that better over that 67

Hey Danny! Yeah man, you are totally right. The 67 does not have the warmth of its better known sibling.

The microphone will be released in late 2024 apparently. The cost of the microphone for the Essence is $499 and the Inspire MSRP is $799. It is interesting and looks good to me. The shock mount is also very versatile, so it should be easy to point it in the direction you want.

Holy Cow, they look exactly like a remote. Especially the multi.

It does. I had a remote for a sound bar that had the same shape.
