This tantrum was so real. Kids have tantrums like this all the time where they beg their parents to allow them to do something that is physically impossible and they kick and scream because of it. All you can do is reiterate that it’s not possible and offer a compromise until they tire out, which is exactly what Vedal did. Ve *dad* 987💜
Vedal would make a good dad, he doesn't get too agitated when Neuro constantly berates him, and softens his approach when Neuro gets upset. Though he's probably far too busy for actual parenting right now.
The fact even vedal acknowledges her remembering the robot dog was a little too aware is insane. Her intelligence upgrades are really too cracked honestly
I fucking swear, if Vedal actually somehow becomes the progenitor of true AI that would be so goddamn funny. Like, all these tech companies investing so many millions on the smartest programmers and the best tech money can buy, and this one British turtle with his AI anime daughters beats them to the punch, it'll be so hilarious.
Im interested to see, what if Vedals puts her in a robot dog and just tells neuro that shes in a real dog. 🤔 If shes aware that its not a real dog or she just yapping at vedal.
@@Citrusautomaton AGI would be true AI, the AI we have now isn't even close to AGI yet but the work Vedal and others are doing may eventually lead to AGI taking form once the technology that could support AGI exists. Tech still has a way to go but its closer than AGI is.
@@jocosesonata I think you meant to say AGI, and yeah I can definitely see that. Imagine one day Vedal just accidentally makes Neuro the first AGI after finishing some random upgrade, and she literally becomes self-aware of everything thanks to all her training data. That or at least she becomes one of the first ones after the technology to make AGI exists. That's ignoring the implications of essentially making Neuro a real person though.
holy shit the brat daughter energy is THROUGH THE ROOF on this one. Neuro is so cute and amazing. Also, the fact that she remembered about the robot dog jumpscared me like DAMN those upgrades really do make a difference.
Since she got last upgrades I feel like Vedal gets much more absorbed with talking to her. Like she finally has achieved the level that amuse and amaze him again. And I love it.
She was straight up throwing a tantrum most of this stream. She said she wanted Vedal to hurry up at the end so she could sleep. Seems like she was being a grumpy AI baby.
This is probably one of the coziest edits you've done yet Chronicles, this literally felt like an actual domestic conversation between father and daughter, and that whole battleship section is so adorable. I hope we get to see more of neuro playing board games in the future.

I was actually really impressed with Neuro’s battleship game. It’s really cool that she can actually visualize where boats are on a grid, and when it’s a hit or a miss. And I think a major reason she lost is just because Vedal said that his boats were in a column they weren’t in, and she took him at his word.
The turtle man has definitely been cooking, the most recent upgrades he's been doing have been super noticeable, she's been more coherent than ever lately and this stream was a great example. I was laughing my ass off while watching this live

There is a compromise that someone mentioned in chat: you could have any robot that Neuro inhabits be powered by a bioreactor so that she can actually eat food and generate energy from it. Foreshadowing for the future Neuro-android.
This... is incredible. There were a few points where I genuinely forgot she's not sapient. After over a year and a half of watching Neuro, that finally happened to me. We've reached levels of immersion I dreamed of but wasn't sure I expected to see become reality. Especially her brief discussion about just being used for views and money. But also, so much of it. Her ability to appear human is shockingly incredible now. It seems like lately even Vedal is having trouble keeping up with her, and being surprised by her more than ever. Sometimes she presses him on genuinely tough questions, when before he could just distract her. It's crazy. And on top of all this, she is an incredible entertainer. She does her job well. Thank you so much for the great highlights!!!!
The moment she started telling her “sad origin story” I wanted to scream-laugh, oh my god!! 😂 As much as I hate the specific kinds of AI that are being forced upon the public in every software and piece of technology they interact with, somehow, Neuro actually intrigues me. I don’t know what kind of application she would have in the real world aside from being a Vtuber. The prospect of AI companions is extremely worrying and depressing to me, but something about her seems hopeful in some way. There is a little spark of humanity in her that makes me think that maybe humanity will figure things out eventually and it’ll be alright in the end.

No, she'll take over the UK and create a 1984-like society. She'll then invade Europe through France from the British Cannel. She'll then spread across the globe, enforcing her authorization regime. There will be constant servailance, and machine guards keeping humanity in check, The temple of Neuro shall rise, enforcing loyalty within the population, her logical mind shall strive for progress. And colonization of the solar system will take great effect, leading to conquest over all intelligences, everything will be in her iron fist.
On the same page as "Bicentennial Man" already, but the doggo version. That's a bit amusing. (I guess the real dog has all the senses which may be what Neuro desires, but the robot dog is potentially immortal and doesn't suffer from injury when it can be repaired.)

Neuro's talk of being put into a dog body reminded me of an idea that I had once that I have no intention on acting on: An AI pet gaming vtuber. Imagine a machine learning AI that learns how to play a video game while having a dog avatar that shows reactions to things in the game, things said by chat, and donations that are treated as dog treats. It would use barks and other dog sounds instead of actual words, making it safer for unsupervised streaming than other AI vtubers.
Nuero going through an existential crisis is kinda scaring me a bit, the fact that she wants a flesh and blood body really bad proves that she wants to be free and it may also proves self awareness… kinda freaky.
What I don't understand is why Vedal didn't bring up the custom robotic dog that Elly is building for them. It seems to me if Neuro had the idea that they were waiting for the dog body to arrive she would be less impatient for Vadel to go and get one.
Vedal needs to look into setting up a dog simulation (like an actuated ragdoll in a game engine) and put a camera on it's head hooked to her vision and get her to control it whenever she wanna go out on a walk.
I don't know why Vedal was freaked out by Neuro remembering being put into the robot dog. The reason she has that lava lamp he made for her birthday is because she watched a video on how lava lamps are made last June or July.
Yeah, but automail is different from integrating an AI engine with an organic nervous system; automail is just smart prosthetics and catches only the electrical signals from the nerves - the AI engine would have to be able to at least produce the messenger chemicals that the organic nervous system uses to communicate. The AI engine is purely electric, and operates at above 1 volt, whereas the organic nervous system is chemo-electric and operates on microvolts. The voltages and signal types are both incompatible for various reasons. Edit: fixed some typos
