It’s been years since you made this video, but thanks for doing it. I’m going to look for a video on how MS is diagnosed, and I really hope you made one. You’re a really good explainer!
Thanks for the compliment! I don't plan to make any more videos on MS, because I think Dr. Brandon Beaber's channel on MS is fantastic. He covers a lot of topics in great depth, is very science-oriented, takes a balanced view of all the evidence, and uses very good rational thinking. Check his channel out: ru-vid.com
Thank you!! Good info and your music play out music at the end is really good too! Music is therapeutic. Professional Music Therapy is an interesting topic to cover some day if you haven't already. I saw a documentary about it on 60 Minutes (or possibly 2020 maybe 10 yrs ago and was amazed with what new imaging was proving in how Music Therapy (MT) greatly helps Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke Patients recover better and faster (neuro remapping due to the counting and tapping along with the beats, etc., than those who did not get MT, especially if given asap into the healing process. Amazing docu I've never forgotten about. It confirmed something I think I already knew before seeing the documentary.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, music therapy can be very helpful. Unfortunately, in most medical systems it is just an added expense with no way to pay for it, so most places don't have it.
Dose it always show up in MRI scans ? I have been treated for me/cfs for 12 years now and steadily getting worse my last Mri was 3 years ago . I'm waiting on appointment for another because of new symptoms . Numbness and tingling and lots of blurred vision . I often wonder if I have been wrongly diagnosed .
MS causes changes on the MRI scan. When someone comes to me with a diagnosis of MS, but whose MRI scan is entirely normal, we have to go back to square 1 and start over. One of the more common diagnoses I find others have missed is small fiber neuropathy. In fact, I've been thinking of shooting a video on that topic...just have been busy with other things, but maybe soon!
