Thinking in Silicon

“Computers are incredibly inefficient at lots of tasks that are easy for even the simplest brains, such as recognizing images and navigating in unfamiliar spaces. Machines found in research labs or vast data centers can perform such tasks, but they are huge and energy-hungry, and they need specialized programming.”

“A computer built to mimic the brain's neural networks produces similar results to that of the best brain-simulation supercomputer software currently used for neural-signaling research.”

Well, I haven’t watched the video yet but as for my hypothesis for the answer to the question I’d guess that the prefix neuro means brain and morphic means for something to be able to change, so I’d guess an adaptive “brain” or intelligence that learns or picks up information the more frequently it is used or “online”

@Dragon Cocplayer If they become human like then they will destroy themselves as we do. When there are sentient beings, then there are various goals and opinions, viewpoints and learned moralities. If there is a conflict in interests then there will be a confrontation which could lead fights and wars which could lead the downfall of the mashines the same way as will be with humans. So no, mashines probably dont want to be human like. It would be better if they get examples from ants or bees.
