7 Tesla? What is your opinion on the different strengths of MRI machines? Should we seek out higher Tesla machines?

7 Tesla scans are not commercially available. T3 MRI has been found to find smaller lesions in MS more effectively, but I'm not sure it would make a difference clinically.

Dear Dr. Beaber, What are your thoughts on FES exercise equipment? An example would be The MyoCycle that attaches to a wheelchair, to develop muscle tone, if for no other benefit. Thank you, so much, for your time and for all the knowledge you share.

Ruptured aneurysm with brain swelling 6. Multiple old infarcts 7. Benign AVM 8. Posterior column abnormal blood vessels with spinal cord swelling 9. Onion MS 10. Blood clot in MCA 11. Stroke with swelling in one brain area 12. Genetic brain calcification 13. Many circular lesions of corpus calosum 14. DVT secondary to Estrogen Birth control pill 15. Bilateral symmetrical stenosis of carotid arteries. Birth defect? 16. Pons symmetrical ‘cross’ lesion with cerebellar atrophy. 17. Bilateral iatrogenic frontal lobotomy. 59 yr old family doctor, retired due to MS.

Fun quiz ! Unfortunately, I'm pretty much clueless haha. I had a question in mind, doctor, and I was curious to read your thoughts. Do you think there is a link that can be establish between somatoform disorder / hyponchondriasis and any neurological disorder ? Do you think those disorders can easily mimic some neurological symptoms ? Once again, thank you for being a light bearer on RU-vid !

Does MS cause changes to the size of certain brain areas? Also, this was a fun and interesting video! I have no experience in radiology (other than my own MRIs as an MS patient) but I really enjoyed learning about the different conditions and how they show up on an MRI scan.

Can you do a more in-depth video of Moyamoya disease? I am 24 and I had a cryptogenic stroke stroke a month ago. I got a frontal lobe angiogram where they saw tiny blood vessel’s in a similar pattern but they refused to do the genetic testing on me because I don’t look Chinese even though my mom was born in Asia. A few years prior to the stroke I had multiple and worsening symptoms like headaches, disturbed consciousness, cognitive impairments. Also the case with the frontal lobotomy is also characteristic of schizophrenia. Look at the holes in the rest of the brain! That’s why that man was lobotomized (mutilated).

Thanks for the video suggestion. There is no MRI finding strongly associated with schizophrenia though in twin-twin studies where one twin has the condition but the other doesn't, the affected twin has slightly larger ventricles on average.

1:25 Easy. I diagnose that pt with That Dont Look Right Disease. In all seriousness though, this was very fun to watch. I thought MAYBE I'd be able to identify one, but watching this made me realize I have very minimal brain lesion training haha. Now maxillofacial pathology I may have a chance

I have a nursing background and didn’t get any correct! But I’m used to seeing AV malformations, CVAs, etc. I’ve been humbled. I’m glad you’re familiar with them though since this is your specialty!
