Rett syndrome is a rare disease that impacts one out of every 10,000 female births. Qiang Chang, PhD, professor of Medical Genetics & Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studies this developmental disorder caused by mutations that deform an essential protein called MeCP2.
