The way you perceive and understand a movie is influenced by the soundtrack playing (or in some cases, not playing) during particular scenes. Tufts University neuroscientist Aniruddh Patel explains how scientists study your brain's response to music and what parts of your brain is activated by different attributes of music (rhythm, timbre, etc.).

So, this means you shouldn't listen to music while studying, right? The activity that music produce on the left side of the brain can disturb the activity produced by studying(processing the information that is receiving).

That is one way of looking at it. Music can motivate you or get you in a better mood to do productive things. You can grasp it in different ways.

I immediately thought about islam and how music is not allowed and i realized because music shapes/ cteates personality and influences the listener who then is influenced by the idol (celebrity) who is a puppet and puts out the trends and has kid/teens copying and spreading the "culture" making things popular. Its everywhere, its scary , the frequencies effect.

I was trying to find a way to convince myself that music is okay in Islam, I didn’t know that I was trying to destroy my inner body my brain and my soul. The devils cannot control you but they can manipulate your mind by bad thoughts and bad emotions. And the music is their ultimate weapon against us

Brother, music is one of the worst worst worst thing. I can give you my own example. Music makes you restless, creates a different type of world in brain.. and will not just keep you limited till that, but it can make one commit adultery and become into an animal.. I am saying truthfully.. May Allāh Subhanahu wa Ta'aala grant u strength to protect ourselves from worst of things, music. Āmeen
