Nope. He's right. You're wrong. Simply because I agree with him and I am the truth, I've always been. Thanks for your useful comment. Fucking awesome album. Now go play on a highway.
@@Mrsilenciobackgammon He was last person to see Kurt Cobain alive, last person to see Philip Seymour Hoffman alive, Duff Beer from the Simpsons was named after him and those are just a few.
@@Mrsilenciobackgammon The creator and writers on the Simpsons have all stated Duff Beer was not named after him. He can't back up his Kurt Cobain claim either. I used to be a fan of the guy myself until he started this nonsense. Was even a fan of his time in the Fastbacks.
1/4 Sex Pistols + 1/5 Duran Duran + 2/5 G'n'R = Neurotic Outsiders. The soul of 3 great bands gets rid of their frontmen' egotrip and goes just for the joy of rock'n'roll...
Dammit man! I didn`t know anything about this! This is great shit! Steve Jones has always had the magic, he can pick up a Les Paul and you right away know it`s him. But this super star cast he`s got in here, Duff, Matt and the great John Taylor, these boys knew how to rock. I gotta see if I can still find this CD. It`s great to see John Taylor doing something other than Duran`s style of music, he proves he`s really versitle.
@@garyhillman4993 : & that's why your slapping away on your on phone or laptop in your mom's basement being a keyboard warrior & Steve Jones is living a decent life! The guy has it all, is he the best guitarist in the world? of course not but he's got just enough of each rock n roll ingredience to make it work!
@@lindaroy3515 Steve Jones is worth 18 million, he laughs every time he sees comments about how he can’t play because he knows it’s irrelevant, he got a million just to cut one Neurotic Outsiders record, so idiots like that prick Gary Hillman on here are a joke.
This is when John Taylor was in L.A., he started to play with those guys each and every evening in a pub a couple of songs of each bands. When a member of Warner appoach them to do something together and to write an original album. That's why they did only one album: they enjoyied playing togheter in a pub, with no pressure and no expectations.
They got together because Matt Sorum put together a benefit show for a friend who had cancer. Duff had gotten sober and was a little nervous about playing sober. Played the show and felt really good about how it went. They started playing every week at the club that hosted the benefit (Viper Room). Word spread through L. A. & word got to a record company exec who went down and caught a show. They were then offered 1 million dollars to record an album. Matt & Duff said that was more than G N R were offered so they said what the hell. Steve Jones handled writing most of the songs. It didn't last because The Sex Pistold decided to do a reunion & Axl called Duff & Matt about some G N R shows and everybody went their ways but they did enjoy the casual shows and doing a lot of covers that they all liked.
Lots of old punk influences (You Really Got Me, Can't Stand Losing You, My Sharona, I Fought The Law, Turning Japanese, I Wanna Be Sedated, Ever Fallen In Love)
Used to blast this in my car all around London back then and people were repulsed as garage music was the in thing. A girl stopped me at the lights and asked what it was. I gave her the tape and drove off. 20 years on I still have this album in my car.
Yes man! Yes! This song is so so so good! There's no more music coming like that anymore. Also, this is great example that rock music in the 90s didn't suck!
this was the closest jonesy got to doing a great band as great as the pistols..they seemed to gel better than anything previous..love to see 'em again.
Testo: I don't mind, I don't really mind Take your time, take your precious time You're so blind, you're severly blind But never you mind, 'cause I just came to grind You're a bitch, I'm a jerk I don't think that we can work You're a prat, I'm a prick I don't think that we will stick I'm a cat, you're a chick I think you deserve one more lick Come on down Come on down Come on down Be yourself, please be yourself You're so mean do you know what I mean? Come on down Come on down Come on down
I saw these guys in 1996 in a small club in London (the LA2, sadly demolished)... Was totally amazed at how well Duff looked considering how fat and bloated he'd been 4years before! I remember Simon Le Bon coming on at the end to sing some Stooges tunes... Think they did It's So Easy too... Great gig, weird end with Le Bon there...
Yeah they started this band maybe a year and half after duff got sober. Duff was 220+ lbs in 1994 from not eating and two gallons of vodka and drugs and one solid meal a week. Shits crazy.
Freedom Fighter on his second solo album is a great track, but apart from that he hasn`r really written anything of any note since this. It`s a shame,as far as being a musician,he`s really wasted his life away.
Neurotic Outsiders was a shortlived supergroup of 90s, like Temple of the Dog or Mad Season. Two former members of GNR, Sex Pistols guitarist and Duran Duran bassist created that single side project. Duff with short hair looks really strange. That video was directed by Marty Callner. I really doubt if any kid born on mid 90s, know that band.
to HENDRIXREBORN93 well said . as a 50 year old i remember all those bands so well it ws great fun. today theres not much for me to shout about.all the best to you and good luck
To polish my comment off: I also remember trying to pull this German chick... failed of course. She was the wife of the singer from Faster Pussycat! And finally, I went to the venue the day the gig was announced and managed to tickets #0001 and #0002 =O) Glad my memory is pretty good! Oh, and I was 17 at the time...
...SONG OF THE DAY!!! 🤘🏿MEGAROLOTA🤘🏿
