Gold is gold. They're meant to be used as currency but you can absolutely hold onto them as well for a more inexpensive way to own some. I'm buying them just to buy them.
Enjoyed the video. Ive been “stacking” some because of their beauty and apparently the scarcity of the 2019 Utah Goldback. I’m not bothered about the premium attached to them because i feel they will have a numismatic value as they have a limited production per year. It would be great to see a similar video on the Utah Goldback revealing all the Easter eggs.
Fantastic. I have some Utah GBs and now I have some Nevada GBs in order and can hardly wait for them to be delivered!!!!!! I think of them as a rectangular coin.
I need to get a set of these since I'm from Nevada! And thank you for saying "Nevada" correctly Silver Dragons - I always correct people when they mispronounce Oregon as "Ore-eh-gone" too!
Beautiful designs! Fantastic idea! Would love to see something like this take root in Australia! Thanks for the vid. I actually just ordered a Utah set of 2020 notes along with the Goldbacks wallet the other night so can't wait to get them. Now I will need to get a set of these as well ;)
Really like this design. Not sure of about the new Hampshire ones. Be interested if the goldback will become more popular in the UK.would be nice to see uk versions
Funny thing is I stay away from 1/10oz and 1/4oz gold due to the higher premiums, but I love the GoldBacks. This is truly fractional gold that is useable or "liquid" which is the biggest argument I have heard for buying fractional gold. I have all of them to date and hope to see more states get in on the action.
No one can deny the artwork is beautiful but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the details. So each denomination is true no matter the state because the value is in the actual gold in the "fabric" of the note itself? According to Peter Santanello's video they are currently accepted in some stores in Utah? Are there ways to spot counterfeit or just by the designs? Are they being accepted/given for change anywhere else or was it sort of a novelty/advertisement for the video's sake? It does seem a shame to wrinkle them but not going to lie, I want to touch one. lol TYIA for chat. Merry Christmas to all!
A lot of folks dont get that the denominations are weight based. not value. Each unit is 1/1000th of an ozt. e.g: the 50 = 50/1000ths ozt, which simpfies to the 1/20th ozt shown on the bottom of the face).
Super Cool! I had to pre order a complete set after watching your video! I still need a 25 and 50 Utah! Any idea if they will do every state? Or which state would be next? I Love those Goldbacks! 🤙🏼
The premium is high, no tax as far as I know. I’m collecting all I can because I got an email the other day about them and they’re moving fast, mostly sold out as far as the bundles go.
Hey SD, would you say these are good for stacking for slight fractionals? These weights are super low, but with gold being so expensive, Im tempted. Even still, I might just collect some of these. 👀
They are pretty durable so far. However the 50 gold back is rather bulky for a fractional. With prices of gold now, its cutting close into the value of the 1/10 gold eagles. I know it is not supposed to be, but it still feels like a collectible. I still like the Utah designs more, especially the 1 gold back.
as I mention in my video about the goldbacks these are not for pure gold price exposure. they are for bartering and that utility is where the premium is 🔥🐉
Please do an update on your goldbacks, things are changing. Mo. is introducing a bill that will make gold and silver real money, do your research and get back with me. Goldbacks are really picking up steam. Thanks
Only two for now. They have several more planned, but iirc they have to wait for a state to explicitly pass an approval. Illinois and most others have not yet. wouldn't be surprised if they did in a decade or so.
so it's like fake money that costs more than real money? is this just a nerd thing that i don't understand? i do love artwork on currency, so they got me there.
Odd fact: Aphrodite rises from the sea in a shell surrounded by sea foam, but there's a twist... the sea foam is ehem, the bodily fluid "fruit" of Zeus,
Hey silver dragons . I live in belguim and i can't buy them . But me and my mom we love the way they luck. Pls let me buy them from you hahahah or do you know a way we can buy them?
Goldbacks should be sold, bought and traded @ market value. Because they do not; means they're for the birds!!!! Your gonna have to wait for gold to double to make your money back or at least have them be worth their face value. Imagine a world of hyper-inflation and gold backs.....terrible.
@@SilverDragons47 Yea the GBvalue does'nt = the free market value. I love that states like FL and UT are going back to PM for currency but, we should check the PM manipulations at the door. It's like were gonna end PM manipulations in this country by printing GB's and doing it ourselves. That logic is flawed son....
@Jones laissez faire! “Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” “How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice. “You must be,” said the Cat, or you wouldn’t have come here.”
