Best Places to Live in Nevada. Hey, guys in this video we are going to check out the 10 best places to live in Nevada. Its vast desert covers the entire state we can see an unmistakable contrast in what seems to be a tranquil part of the western region. Nevada's southernmost part is the lavish luxurious and completely sexy las vegas the reality is that Nevada is a diverse and varied state. Home to 2.9 million residents but there's plenty more to Nevada beyond las vegas lake Tahoe red rock canyon and the Valley of fire are ready for exploration the climate in this region is pleasant. There's plenty to consider when it comes to finding an ideal home to live the overall quality of life the cost of housing public education job opportunities and crime rates must be considered. Carson City, Gardnerville, Elko, Yearington & Fallon are all places that could and should have been on this list. It's apparent that whoever compiled this list never ventured outside the Las Vegas & Reno/Tahoe metro areas to any of the rural towns.

The forests around Reno are not part of Yosemite national park. It’s 3 1/2 hours south of here. Or forest is called the toiyabi national forest.

We lived for five years in the Lakes, Nevada. West side of Las Vegas. Had a great home and enjoyed the time there.

You didn't tell us where most of these places are - most seem to be suburbs. What about Mesquite? What about Carson City?

Might as well just say the best places to live in Nevada are Reno and the surrounding area lol. Spanish Springs, Sparks, Verdi and Mogul are all connected to Reno, with Incline Village being 15-20 minutes from Southwest Reno and Kingsbury not being far either. Also we have the Toiyabe National Forest nearby, but the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range starts on the west side of Reno. Yosemite is in the Sierras

What is so good about Reno to live in? It's a serious question on my part. The city is situated beautifully, but when I spent a few days there you do notice the poverty and problems. Spent some time at the river there by downtown, which could be so nice.

@@Jose-sy1je Yeah downtown has become a dump, which sucks because it used to be great. The homeless used to be allowed at a lot downtown and then the city kicked them out. Since they've mainly migrated along the river; setting up camps and getting kicked out only to move to a different location. To be honest, downtown is pretty trashy. There are some parts of midtown that are great though. I like Reno for the location more than anything. Sparks is where I grew up and it's a nice area. I moved away a couple weeks ago though.

*"A Locals Review of Living and Parenting in Southern Nevada."* I truly loved making Nevada my home from 1992 through 2009, 17 years. I traveled Nationally with my job, so I enjoyed the advantage of returning home to Las Vegas/Henderson/Green Valley Ranch. I raised my son in the area, 1st Grade through 10th, then he lived with Dad and returned for College. Today he is a 12 year seasoned professional Memphis Police Officer, Academy Grad, and a near completed Production Degree. Clearly he's not ones idea of a Southern White Male Cop, I am ever so appreciative that his well traveled, well educated + studied, and with Parents that were "Committed to Parenting", (inc step parents), he has a most Moderate View, Open Mind, and realistic understanding of our Society, (with the unimaginable experience of his profession). He shares little to none of that with me, as he understands I've had an adult life of being in my own association in the Admin of Policing, then a wife, now Mother to the Profession. Without reservation I look forward to the Day he says, I have made a decision to pursue another line of Business. I respect the true Professionals of Policing, but I will enjoy his having a far less Dramatic Career. Nevada Schools we're truly exceptional during my experience as a Parent. I enjoyed my living there on many levels, but there were far less folks and it was before 24hr Cable News became the Dictators of folks ideas of reality. What one expects, thinks, feels + believes = their experiences in reality. The "Universal Law of Attraction" is absolute. This, if you feel you want to live there, Do It and Live Happily enjoying the energies of that authentic State. I truly loved my time there and am considering returning, but living in a more rural part o f the State. The Silver State

Some beautiful areas to be sure, but I wager the statistics were almost immediately outdated since available homes and prices have sky rocketed recently. Kind of surprised that Las Vegas valley was not included! The growth all around now offers a variety of homes and prices.

Wow. What a marketing video. Obviously not produced locally. Verdi is mispronounced and as pointed out previously none of the communities are remotely close to Yosemite National Park. The no. 1 location of Kingsbury is the only one hinting at the winter weather in the region. A lot of other considerations like taxes, transportation, etc. If anyone is interested in this area, a visit would be highly advised since the videos only show one side of the communities.

I'm sorry but I've lived in Sparks Nevada my whole life an I work here an your data on Washoe County is way way off. RENO Nevada has just been ranked 10th worst city out of the top 100 city's in the nation. An I can assure you there isn't anyone here inless they have there own business or are a doctor or a lawyer that's making more than 35,000 to 50,000k a year in pay an you cannot live in a crime free area here for less than 2000 dollars a month rent.An the only jobs here are construction, mainly logistics warehousing are the main jobs an Casino jobs, An the average price of a home here in a crime free area is 745,000 dollars the housing market is starting to crash here worse than 2008 an Washoe County is ranked in the top 5 worse places to buy a home do to the housing bubble an the fact that homes here are over priced from 30 to 50% in most areas Nice video but your information is incorrect.

There's better places to live in Nevada than eight out of ten places on the list. Can't beat tahoe (incline/kingsbury) but you have to be multimillionaire to live there. Better places with trees and water... but I'm not telling where. CA stay home.

Uhhh it's obvious they have never been here. I can't vouch for the towns near Tahoe, but having family in Reno and Sparks, no. Neither would rank on my list. I have lived in Spring Valley and again, No. Lots of crime and the schools are shit.

@@Jose-sy1je If you have kids, no. The schools are horrible. School funding is horrible. I think NV is 49th in education. Crime is up. It didn't used to be this bad.

Verdi. The "i" is pronounced as as "eye" NOT "ee". Verdi is being built up and it's disgusting. A 650 home development was turned down and the developer (from California) sued and got a judge to say the development could go ahead. This has happened more than once in the Reno area. We have no say in how our city and surrounds are developed.

@@garyrentschler6082 Tell your business leaders who help fund the move of businesses from California to Nevada to stop. Also tell them to stop the corporate welfare with your tax dollars. I think the NFL could more than pay for the Raiders stadium but no, you paid for it. Also new fees on the tourists that come. I'm not opposed to that part but the money should go to projects that help offset the strain on an area the tourists cause. I live in Reno, and Tesla has not produced the jobs it promised, we paid for them to come, they have brought other business that we also paid for and have put a strain on our schools, roads, housing and the usual. The best thing that can happen to California is for some people to leave. It will take some of the pressure off and bring it east to us. Yea us.

That state is OVER taxed, OVER regulated, OVER populated...and OVERrun by liberal ideology. The escapees I talk to, all say the same thing. It costs too much to live there. Highest gas prices, highest housing costs, highest taxes and traffic is INSANE. Vegas is starting to look like Cali:((...With dem control, a state income tax here is probably in the cards:((

@@garyrentschler6082 I agree with much of what you say and that's why it's good the population is getting smaller. I was raised in Marin Country, my younger brother lives in Sonoma Country. I love it there, it's perfect. I moved to Nevada in 1976 for work. IF dollars were no object for me, I'd be in the Healdsburg, Alexander Valley area in a heartbeat. I'm hoping the population shrinkage will begin to lesson some of the pressure and perhaps cooler heads will begin to prevail. I am not totally against ANY regulation. If people and businesses did the right thing it would not be necessary. It costs more to put processes in place for a company to stop letting crap run into our streams, rivers, and ground water. Without regulation most don't care and even then they still do it and take the fine. What to do, what to do?

This was by far the stupidest representation of Reno and the surrounding areas I have ever seen. Reno is NOWHERE near Yosemite. 'Verdi' is pronounced Verd I, not Verdee.
