That was my 3rd Nevada tag that I personally have drawn for Mule Deer with an average of an 8 year wait....Nevada hasn’t disappointed yet! Always lots of opportunities and we have been fortunate enough to be selective. Wish you guys luck when you draw that tag.

For people that read the comments here is our disclaimer about this video. For people that have showed support for us trying to get good raw footage of our hunts out there we appreciate it and are thankful for that. For the negative people or people who seemed to be concerned about our decision to take those shots on those two bucks here’s our disclaimer and some behind the scenes information. 1. There is a ton that goes on behind the scenes with load development and long range shooting practice including up to and over 1,000 yards. Any hunter that actually has a long range set up should know the practice and load development that has to happen to be confident for that cold bore shot in a real life situation. 2. We have taken over a handful of bucks, bulls, and coyotes well over 600 + yards in all different hunting situations. We also have the confidence, experience and ability to make those shots. 3. When we decided to take the shots we had a 10-15 mph variable head wind at a 30 degree angle to us from the bluffs we shot off of. We compensated accordingly and took those first 2 shots. The second shot that missed just left of the buck was my cold bore shot. Yardage was perfect but we both couldn’t believe how far left we missed. The second buck came out into the open 100 yards closer and we both adjusted again. The second shot on that buck was my second shot still hitting about 2ft left of my aiming point but putting the buck on the ground. That buck bled out in less then a minute and didn’t go anywhere. Kyles 3rd shot was on the first original buck we both missed and that buck expired on impact. Were we proud of those shots? Absolutely not! We both missed our aiming points and still couldn’t believe how far we were off. After making it across the canyon we noticed the wind was completely different from where we were shooting off the bluffs. The wind was actually funneling with the canyon at a 90 degree angle to our barrels at 20 mph+ explaining how far left we were. 4. Hindsight is 20/20 right?!? We didn’t want it to happen that way but that’s real life. We completely missed the cross canyon wind and were fortunate that both shots ended up being very lethal. We are hunters trying to bring raw real life hunting situations. We are human and unfortunately aren’t perfect. I could have edited out the misses but that’s not what we are about. That’s not real life and if any true hunter that has actually been out there doing it most of his/her life says they haven’t missed, wounded or lost an animal is either extremely lucky or lying. We hope this clears some of the confusion up. Best of hunting to you and your families.
