Congratulations👏🏼! I’m really happy for people working hard but also with enthusiasm. I received my Ph.D few years ago. I succeeded only because my supervisor was like a mom. I kept whining that my doctoral thesis was worthless, pointless, didn’t contribute to and didn’t translate into development in my clinical area. She didn’t give me a chance to give up on it. Now I understand why was such a procrastinator. I realised I don’t enjoy working in research , all this what’s associated with making science. However, my initial problem was that I was afraid and ashamed to try. Now I feel that I was born to be a surgeon. Probably your doctoral thesis is being reviewed now, good luck with the final step 🤞🏼.

You understand that an honorary doctorate degree is not like a normal degree? She didn’t graduate or anything or even go to university for it. It is like a reward or medal. It means nothing and has no educational merits.

Sorry to disappoint you, it's honorary PHD. It's normally awarded to individuals,who have made a difference in their area of profession. The individuals to be congratulated are the ones that sweated for their PHD and expected to bring in new knowledge that can change society.
@@shishi1527 All PhD degrees are literally awarded to "individuals who made some difference in their area of profession" whether or not it is about some new knowledge or refinement of an old one. It could be a niche that isn't socially impactful but it's still valid. It doesn't matter what their thesis was about, it was still a thesis that was accepted. Stop gatekeeping and worshipping PhD, it's just a degree and not all PhDs are as resourceful as you think.

It means she didn’t meet the academic requirements and years and studying and hard work to get it! It means she either donated a lot of money to NYU and NYU gave her this title for nothing! It's obvious that she dedicated her life to her craft and have created enough to qualify for it. Most PhD candidates create about a quarter of what she has over 2 decades so i dont know what the argument of hardworking is about. And yeah, Of course you can get one too but there's a procedure for it.

Just so everyone is aware, an honorary doctorate is not an actual college degree but an award given by usually a prestigious college to people who have contributed to society in a remarkable way (typically it is given to celebrities). It’s not an earned degree but an award. She didn’t actually go through the process of what a PhD student would go through.
