Niall was the first member of One Direction and he will be the last. He said in an interview he told his managers that even if he is successful as a solo artist, he will leave everything behind whenever the band calls him. Hope the other members also feel the same.
Harry has now said he is open to the idea. I'm pretty sure that Louis would like to come back if it's the right time. Liam has probably had the most interactions with everybody alongside Niall and has been hanging out A LOT with Louis compared to the others. But Louis is doing well in his solo career and abandoning or focusing less on it at its peak is untimely. I think he'd like to join but it's a little hard to do at the moment. With Zayn it's a mystery but unless it's REALLY special, I don't think he'll come back. I think he'd come back for one or a couple of songs. most likely it would be the 4 of them if they do return with Zayn making a cameo or two.

The order they were put together means nothing, that just which pic they came across first. They said particular things about each one of them and all of them together made the band what it is. It wouldn’t have worked with just three, it struggles with four, all five were perfect.

Simon did come up with the idea of forming a group first. His voice is quiet at the beginning of the video but he said it and Nicole agreed. Simon picked Niall ("he should be in a group this boy, I'm not saying we gotta do it, but I'd like to imagine it") , Nicole picked Harry, Simon picked Louis, Nicole fought for Liam, and they all went for Zane. Nichole's enthusiasm really pushed it forward though. If she hadn't been so on board with the idea, it may never have happened.
Correct me if i am wrong but didnt Liam said in an interviw that simon created the band because of him? and here we can see he didnt even wanted him in 1D and in reality the idea came from thinking that Niall would be cute in a boy band, and if it wasnt for nicole Liam probably wouldnt be where he is today.

I’m not getting why directioners who know their history are pretending this isn’t true. Harry became the focus cos he was the most popular member of the band. But if you watch their xfactor performances and tour, as well as the first two albums and related tours, it’s clear when it came to live performances and vocals Liam was at the forefront. Even in their later albums he’s all over the harmonies and backing. Liam cannot be extracted from one direction, the one time he was unwell the guys cancelled their performance. If the hater Directioners think the other guys will be grateful for all this hate and ridicule they have subjected Liam to, then they are hallucinating. Why would the guys want a reunion when fans have switched on Liam so spectacularly. I think they realise that could be them at any point in time. If I were them I’d stay in my solo career.
Thank you Nicole. She deserve all the credit for grouping the Little stars and making them big stars together. I will always be thankful I got to be a Directioner ,they were able to help me during my stressful days when I was still at University and even now their music makes me happy and it gives me full of nostalgic feeling. They will always be dear to me. ❤️

Yeah Harry Just sold out Two Wembley stsdiums. Louis has a sold out huge arenas/festival tour. He has his own festival (Away from home). Liam and NIALL are finisihing their álbuns and Zayn has 2 records out. I mean they are ALL thriving.

They only knew each other for 2 weeks before they had to perform together on the show, talk about pressure. But Liam held that group together during the performances on XFactor. He started the songs and did most of the vocals and the others followed him. I think Liam is the reason they succeeded.

Zayn was truly the best seasoning both look wise and vocally that truly completed the group. I had a crush on him since the first day and ive seen most of us pocs all over the world got attracted into this bandwagon because of him ❤️
“Little girls will love them.” I was 11 when they were formed - I’m Australian, I didn’t hear about them til I was 12. Then I fell in love. I’m 23 now, and still adore the boys. I grew up with 1D, they were with me through my adolescence, the good and the bad. There will always be a soft part of my heart for 1D.
that was me as well and i also went to their shows in Sydney in 2013 and 2015 and now i have also met Liam Louis and Niall and got front row Louis's shows in Australia
It hurts A LOT that they are not together anymore. But I’m so happy to say that they truly loved music to the point where I was able to watch Louis in his own concert.

In 2016 they were the highest paid boyband of all time according to Forbes. 1D pumped out 5 albums in 5 years along with nonstop tours compared to BSB who has put out 10 albums in 29 years (formed in '93). Social media being around definitely helped their fan base and continuous new music helped keep their fan base active.
This footage is incredible. It could've been five other candidates. Niall, Liam, Zayn, Harry, and Louis are very lucky. Getting your foot in the door is tough. It requires a lot of persistence, hard work, attention to detail, and luck. Nicole and Simon gave five teenagers an opportunity for the world to see. A shot. Liam is the group’s OG. Simon had faith in him early on, and I think he's the reason why Cowell mentored 1D from the start.
Probably. Liam showed a lot of resilience on the X Factor. I occasionally watch his audition and tell friends this is what resilience is about. We don't know what could've happened if Liam stayed as a soloist. But things worked out in the end for him. He got on Simon's radar in the first go-around, which set up his music career. Many famous boy bands started out with a single member to build around. Donnie Wahlberg (NKOTB), AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys), Chris Kirkpatrick (NSYNC), and Nick Jonas were all scouted first before the group arrived.

Id just like to say that Niall has always and will always be my favourite member. He seems to be one of the members who stays out of trouble and is extremely humble. Also back in 2018 I went to see him and I screamed love you and he heard. I know that's probably nothing for some people but to me it was like the highlight of my life. So if you were at Nialls concert at Spark Arena in Auckland and you remember a girl scream love you and they crowd then screaming and Niall reacting, THAT WAS LITTLE 14 year old me. I have it on video so if you don't believe me I have proof

i was 6 when they formed, but i still remember being so into them when they formed. “the little girls are gonna love them” and we did! i’m 18 now and i’m so happy to see all their solo careers, each doing their own thing, growing even more as they go on. it’s so heartwarming.
And to think Nicole was only there on the judging panel because she was filling in for Cheryl Cole, who was in hospital with Malaria at the time! Imagine if Cheryl was there and not Nicole? One Direction may never have been formed! Crazy to think... But I always believed things happen for a reason ✨

Plus it's quiet but at the beginning Simon says to put Niall in a group and then nicole says yes a boy band, and when she says boy band again later he's hesitant and says group. So the group thing is what put it in Nicole's head. Everyone is saying it's all her but you are so right! All 3 of them did it together. Nicole did alot. But so did the others. It would be fair to say the 3 of them created 1d. Unfair to give Simon all the credit though.

I was 12 years old when this happened, here I am 24, 12 years later and still as in love with them as I was all those years ago. They will forever be the best thing that ever happened to me.
this is honestly magical to watch! I traveled to scotland back in '10, got to watch them on xfactor there in my hotels as it was all beginning for them. I came home, told my 2 friends about this ridiculously cute british boy band on tv and we were all hooked! & we felt so cool to be some of the very first directioners in the US lol, like we were part of some special club no one else was cool enough to know about. When all the other girls at school discovered them with the release of "that's what makes you beautiful" we were like proud moms and all smug, but also felt a little protective of our boys lol. good times, this video brought back lots of memories :,)

When 1 judge said "it already looks great with 4", this hits hard knowing eventually they'll be 4 (zayn was the last to be included too) then nicole said Zayn was the key completing the group. OMG knowing it was never the same again after he left. Everything in this vid is like seeing telling us the future. Also, I've always liked Nicole & this vid just proves it 💯❤️

I'm 28 too. I'm not a fanatic and I don't regularly listen to this type of music, but I did grow up watching them from time to time and I do respect their craft and grind. I also grew up watching Justin Bieber and it's wild that we're the same age and all grown up now. Like we've seen they're entire journeys from the very beginning, from nothing to global super stars. It's wild.
I was 8 when 1D was formed, I was going into third grade moving to a new country. Now I'm 20 and going into my second year of uni, crazy how fast time flies! Happy 12 years everyone ❤
