@dcworld4349
@dcworld4349 13 дней назад
@@danieldickson8591 I'm so happy they are bringing Ultron back, its not as good as Infinity War and Endgame, but the movie is better than the first Avengers and it looks like people have come around to it in recent years. Ultron's personality being influenced by Tony is apparent, and he was a better mirror to Tony than any of his own solo movie villan's. While Spader doesn't look like Stark even when he was younger. And I know Sam Rockwell was the runner up if RDJ hadn't worked out and I think he would have done an excellent job, he could bring a lot of the same energy while making it his own and look the part. But remove the physical look, Spader could have made for an interesting Tony Stark from a pure acting stand point. Take the church scene when he meets the twins. "People make smaller people... Children! Lost the word there" and when Wanda ask if he's come to end the Avengers "I've come to save the world... but also yeah." That last line in particular was either written with James Spader in mind, or he improvised it. The way he says it the way he moves, is quintessential Spader. But he also does have some of Tony's personality.

One thing I love about the show is that it portrays characters capable of some real shit, but gives them some properties that make the scene hilarious. Like the blood-fainting fellow. Or the torturer with the oxygen mask and ridiculous/hilarious requirements to do his job. Or Mr. Kaplan, such a nice mature business secretary who recognizes enemy from FBI at a glance at their weapons a kills right away.

Full disclosure: I wasn't a big Spader fan _until_ "The Blacklist." It's like trying to read a novel in German when all you speak is Spanish. You decide to move to Germany for a few years after a couple of very positive visits, pick up the language, settle down, fall in love with a gorgeous woman you met while on vacation in Bern who happens to live only 12 short miles from you in Dresden. You eventually marry, have two beautiful daughters, and, while your eldest is in her final year of _Gymnasium,_ she comes seeking your assistance to understand a passage in a book she's reading, _which,_ by pure coincidence, is that same novel you attempted to read so many years ago. After enlightening her with your wisdom, you ask her if you could borrow the book when she's done, because you can not only now read the book, but appreciate it for the work of art it is.

Honestly, the only thing that really preventing me from truly loving this show It was in fact Raymond Reddington himself. The dude just loves the sound of his voice and loves talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking. Every fucking story he has is like a college essay. Every moment has to be this long-winded statement about something he learned rather than being what a villain or anti-hero should be cold and precise and quick to the point but saying your point with authority.

If the last part of this scene shows anything, Raymond Reddington is a ruthless adversary to any and all who stand in his way. To people in his employ, he's one of the safest people to talk to. Can you imagine calling a meeting with your criminal boss to discuss your squeamishness regarding blood unless you *knew* he was going to be courteous and understanding? Anything less than that reaction would leave a person feeling weak, unheard, and embarrassed.

Coming to think about it, i don't think i ever saw Reddington orders someone to kill somebody. Always does the dirty job himself or does it alongside his men. What a character.

it is insane that the guy in the turtle neck would go on to do what he did after witnessing first hand what raymond does to double crossers. I mean he got front row seats to the lecture

Ironically, the guy who doesn't like blood, ends up turning on Red. Twisted turn of events.

There is only one man who is a greater actor than Spader, and he shares the screen with him. Paul Reubens, the genius who created and embodied Pee Wee Herman, is riveting as Mr. Vargas.

I would like to see a show where James Spader sitting in a chair alone and telling stories from Reddington's life. No other person necessary..no CGI, no special effects, not a goddamn thing apart from him and a comfy chair
