You guys need to understand there's a difference between steaming and boiling. Steaming won't remove all the nutrients from. Although it will kill the bacteria. So no harm in eating steamed sprouts
But how about Prāna Shakthi ? Just cooking in any of the way will take the LIFE ENERGY AWAY from raw food. Eating raw sprouted grains is not suggested ONLY WHEN you have issues / challenges from Gastroenterology side. Eating Raw Sprouts is very very healthy especially along with Honey, Grated Coco, Lemon & such
I have eaten raw sprouts for over 27 years now. Entire family eats them raw too. My grandmother's fav food is sprouts. She is 90 years old. We are surviving. ☺
nice, I am also taking , but due to cold and cough in October I stopped, now I am recovering n good shall I continue in this winter season , plz advice me , consistently 27 years so great Mam thanks in advance Mam 💐
My entire life, I never steamed or boiled and ate the raw sprouts , nothing happened, in fact raw sprouts are even better, but today I learnt something new, thanks.
After the moong are soaked overnight you should wash it in before putting it in the cloth to make sprouts. That way there is very little to no smell after you get sprouts
These are healthy bacteria for our gut. Also there are some water soluble vitamins like vitamin b, vitamin c ,biotin, and more..they will evaporate. Bacteria in sprouts contain vitamin B12 which is very essential. I daily eat sprout , raw sprouts. Also.. right method is Soak them then wash with one or two water for dirt then let them sprout in clean cloth so you can eat them directly. Never wash sprouts for the water soluble vitamij reasons.
Yes You're right ,,, bec water soluble vitamins are very heat sensitive and they will evaporate or removed from sprouts. Whereas raw sprouts are delicious and fully nutritious ! 👌🏻👌🏻
Bacteria is everywhere. Steaming kills the nutritional properties of sprouts. We should try to eat raw food as much as we can. Only in the case of stomachache and gas formation we should mildly steam the sprouts, but should gradually make a habit to eat it raw
i eat tons of raw sprouts. it's beneficial for digestion to have them with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. i use one of those to make a simple dressing for all my sprouts.
I used to teach food safety for the Department of Health and I would never eat raw sprouts. There's no way I would feed them to children Not worth the risk!
wash the moong ,Soak for 8hrs and then remove the water after 8hrs and u can drink that water too because that water contains many nutrients and keep aside for 10hrs it will become like this n eat ..no need for cook or boil I personally soak it at night 9pm and strain the water by next morning and eat in the evening as a snack
Best is to sauté in kadai for two minutes , switch off flame and cover for two minutes. This removes the rawness of sprouts without nutrient loss. Now you can eat without digestion issues
Is there a good RU-vid channel that teaches this (ayurveda) in English that is easy to understand for people foreign to the ancient Indian traditions/teachings? I am asking for myself and have no knowledge of ayurveda.
They're right, I once got very bad allergic reaction from these uncooked sprouts. It happen to be those bacteria that gave me that bad allergy, ever since that I haven't eaten them for years. It would be better to steam them for few minutes prior eating which is safe than getting allergic reactions that stays for months...but I dunno if that's the same for all, some might even have better immunity.
@@sapnashetty12 it might if you overheat It or steam it for hours. But i'm talking from my own experiences. I'm allergic to these. I had literally very bad allergic reaction all over my legs and it left bad scar for years to heal but lemme tell you, Its better to eat them after steaming them for few minutes rather than boiling them for hours or something. They aren't naturally bad but leaving them to sprout and stuff builds bacteria on them and those can be harmful for few people like me. I don't get any allergic reactions to the normal beans but sprouts are just not my cup of tea. I just stopped eating them for years now as my experience was that bad. So just be safe.
Thabks for video,my personal experience , i ate sprouted moong directly after sprouting, got whole itching and allerguc for 5 days , i didnt take any medicines , it gone as it is
Bacteria in sprouts contain b12 which is very essential for vegeterians or vegans. They are water soluble also. Washing them is to loosing them all water soluble vitamins A, b , biotin,c, b12. Also correct method is soak them, then wash them with one or two water to remove dirt. Then let them soak. Sprouts should not be washed also. They can be eat directly.
