Do what Ken said, but to up the likelihood of getting all the twist out, add a swivel to the end, connect it somewhere sturdy (I put a nail on a fencepost) and put some stretch on the line as you reel it back in!

Only cut ribbed plastic swimbaits. Cutting the hollow bodies will effect the action negatively. I wondered the same and tried it and ruined a couple good Shadalicious swimbaits.

I rig mine like a worm, texpose the hook (EWG) with a pegged sinker.

Fishing videos condense hours into minutes. When you see someone catching multiple fish in minutes, you start expecting similar results. But when your catch is measured in trips per fish, when you expect to count fish per day, all sorts of doubts and emotions hit you. My standard is one fish makes me satisfied and two makes me happy. Fishing videos get me fired up, and when I compare my record (skunked every time), I become angry and then discouraged. I don’t need hype. I need usable information. That’s one reason I like Randy’s channel.

@@jaebass02 I’d probably be massively outvoted about your suggestion. But the clip would just be hype that wouldn’t teach a thing. Plus, it would be more work for Randy, which means delays in getting his content uploaded. A few months ago, I saw guys claiming to have caught X fish in this lake on that day. The setting was a peaceful cove with green, overhanging trees. But at that time, the lake’s level was down about 100 feet (it’s 150 feet down, now). Point is, with the right angles and editing, you could be talking about crankbaits but catching fish with wacky worms, and nobody would know. Like I said, a catch is a catch. Your question about hopes has a false assumption. I gain hope from what I learn (and from other channel’s hype). And if I don’t go after the quality protein, nobody’s going to do it for me. In my income bracket, it’s an investment, not a sport. Plus, I am a sore loser. With that much emotional charge, I don’t need hyped expectations.

Dude, the guy never even mentions that the jighead is megabass in this video. Its no secret he is sponsored by them and has been for like thirty years. @@dan5danPT As for calling me a hater, I have stated here many many times that Randy can take all his Megabass and lures, and come against me. If I was a hater, I would not give myself the chance to lose or him the chance to prove himself. If I put my money in my mouth, I am no longer a hater but a truth speaker whether or not the things I have said are true. Truth is I live by it and will defend what I have said. A hater is one who is out to cause chaos, but backs down. It's like a man with no substance. I'm nothing like that. Understand the things which you are speaking of.

I'm pretty sure I've seen your derogatory comments on multiple of these FREE videos. I highly doubt Randy is interested in debating every Tom, DICK or Harry about whether Megabass or Wolverine lures catch more fish. Maybe I'm wrong and you aren't a hater, but in my opinion a decent man doesn't soak up FREE knowledge (repeatedly) and then disparage the FREE knowledge giver. BTW...you never addressed the heart of my previous comment which was that he literally never mentioned Megabass anywhere in this video. But you chose to rail on him over his choice (in past content) to support a company that has helped him feed his family for 3 DECADES!!!
