yeah, real tough call with top pair on the flop, insane call with flopped top pair on the turn, and a RIDICULOUS call with, yet still, top pair on the flop against an absolute manic on a no-flush, non-one-liner board...amazing talent!!

this does not do justice to how deep into the tank Chidwick was, I believe Randy Lew did the original commentary and it is breathtakingly suspenseful

Lol the river shove isnt as polarized as most of u think. I think the value range is KQ+ and a ton of bluffs

Stevie is calling most Jx all Qx and some other blocker hands and of course all better hands which makes KQ a slamdunk 3street hand here. QT coud very well be a bet/check/bet but in case the value range of the btn for tripling is 2pair+ then any pair is a snapcall in stevies shoes

Really random range for the button and the shove really doesn’t make a lot of sense. If you have showdown value.. why shove? Not an easy call but top pair weak kicker is going to be good a ton of times here.

@@kenjikam8841 I said “Not an easy call” precisely because it is for his tournament life. Absent that it is a pretty easy call in a cash game with anything but super deep stacks. As I also said you are good a ton of times here. This is a “nuts or air” situation with a river push and it just isn’t that likely the button has the nuts. It was folded around to the button.. the opening range is massive.

@@Smashycrashy LOL how is this a nuts or air situation? SPR is so low Raj is easily shoving any good Q here for value. He can have QT, QJ, KQ, AQ, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, 99, T8o, KTo, etc. He has a million good hands on this kind of runout. Stevie made the GTO call because he has to with most of his Jx on this kind of runout since he would be check raising his strong draws like QT or T8 and therefore has a capped range of mostly 9x and Jx.

My guess: In his mind the all-in move made no sense. A bluff value bet would have made him fold to a possible straight with KT, trips of nines, two pair with Q9 or maybe just a pair of queens. This guy is super sensitive and super smart. I hope to see more highlights from this series, because there where A LOT of incredible plays.

@@codename8132 Yeah, from what we saw from the vid, it took him less than 30 seconds to pick off a bluff for his tournament life with second pair no kicker, where he loses to two pair combos, sets and a Queen. No time chips. It was a snap call.

A snap call is when you call instantly after they bet. 5 seconds after isnt even a snap call

@@mr.personal-ity Snap calls have nothing to do with those variables u just listed. yes, it was a fantastic call taking into account those variables, but it wasn't a "snap call" as you so put it. Snap calling would be like what @nathan says.
