Then would he need to add rear view mirrors? & then a "beep, beep, beep" horn? & then, maybe cones to let others know of his intentions? & then, a bright nice new shiny paint job, for clarity of sight? & then, . . . a slippery slope indeed. 🙉 😁
I love the downward view in the intro! Also, so sweet of Gwen and the little one to visit and get a ride on the lift! You are one very hard worker, Billy!
MORE than a ton. When we remodeled our kitchen about 15x12 feet, we took over two tons plaster out. I think I heard the floor joists give a sigh of relief.
Just a suggestion; put a rubber blade across the bottom of your 3.0 Plow and it might get a lot of the fine stuff that you are currently grinding into the tile floor with the wheels. Might now work, but it just came into my mind as a quick solution.
The ceilings/corridors at the convent have always bothered me: the proportions never seemed right. I’m so glad you’re taking the amendments out and restoring the original
If the 3.0 rubble plow doesn't work...would working backward? This means working off the back of the lift to rip down the drop ceiling so you're moving away from the rubble instead of driving into it.
Here in Australia, your RSJ is called an "I" (eye) Beam - it is to do with the capital I shape it looks like, but both are the same thing.. I beleive it is only the UK that uses the term RSJ.
It’s truly fantastic Billy! Y’all are getting so much done between the Chateau and the Convent. I’m truly proud of your hard work. And it’s nice seeing you spend a family moment on the lift. Precious family indeed.
I initially was worried about what the false ceiling pieces would do to that lovely floor but then I saw how flimsy the false ceiling pieces were and knew there would be no harm. Then I saw how high the ceiling could be. Oh my! ❤
that’s a very solid floor! it’s concrete poured over the original timber floor! unfortunately it’s staying as there’s way too much work involved to remove it
I love to see you work on the convent and share the plans with us. I really have a hard time wrapping my head around just how big it is. Billy thank you!!
You go Billy ! The rubble plow. I love it❤️ Your right never give up. Plow number three is the charm. You are so talented. My best to everyone. Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸
The Rubble Plow is sheer genius. And, once again, thank you for the magnificent music. Best line of the week: "I'm lazy..." Right, Billy. All the Pethericks suffer from sloth! 🤣😂🤣
You could add a truss support to the bottom side of the beam like a bridge. It can be made of wood, made of steel or you could try a steel cable in tension.
I have been waiting ever so patiently these last few months for the ceiling to come down in the refectory - can't wait till it's all exposed! So I'm so glad you had some time to work on it. Genius idea for the plows - work smarter, not harder! Excellent work Billy!!!
I was glad to see Gwendoline today. I was worried you two had separated or something since she's changes in priorities (leave the Convent for the Chateau) and she's not been on for a while...
@@ThePethericks Thanks for the reply. I did not assume anything nor did I make any accusations. I merely expressed I was worried and pleased to see you both together. I tried to tie those things with an observation that I hoped would explain my worry and happiness. All the best.
I love your creativity. Glad you aren’t quitting at 2.0. Many times it takes many, many iterations to get a finished product. You’ll probably be finished with the project by the time you are satisfied with your invention. You managed to do an amazing amount of demo in one day. Carry on!
Billy, love you like you are my EXTREMELY talented & hard working son. A small favor . . . the down shots (?) with the drone, looking directly down, give me vertigo. That is my only request. Love to you all, from an old lady in Southern California, & a dedicated fan. (I am watching for a sale at a local store that does professional picture framing, for 2 prints of Michael's.
I began watching your channel for the MUSIC selections and limited talking with amazing professional and artistic editing - never mind the projects! My husband and I watched during his last days on hospice and he enjoyed so much also. Thank you!
So sorry for your loss. This channel and Michael's saved me when my Dad passed. We found it together when he was on hospice. I wish you love and peace.💞
Rubble plow v3.0 add some weather stripping for an exterior door to the bottom and you might be able to even grab most of that dust material. Awesome work Billly, looks amazing.
If you do want to keep the steel beams to support the wood ones, you could just cover them with wood to make it look like a BIG BEAM. You could also put some colums under the beam to support it if you do want to take out the steel beams. Eighter way i would not leave the old wood beam wthout support. Is not worth risking the structual integrity of the buildung.
When you took the noggings down I kept thinking about noggin's guy (the one with the burnt castle).. 😂 The wooden paneling is really beautiful, maybe you should give Simon some of it?.. Also; thanks for not using concrete, I think the convent's had enough of that, it wants to breathe and will take a big sigh of relief when you lift the burden of it's shoulders.. 😊
