Such a gorgeous cover of one of the most beautiful songs ever written. You must do the original version by Simon and Garfunkel. Great job holding back the tears!! 😅
Hauntingly theatrical. Having grown up with the Simon and Garfunkel version I can't imagine that they wouldn't enthusiastically endorse this cover. You gave it a valiant effort holding back those tears. Always a good day when you post. Thank you.
Wow. The boys perform a great song really wonderfully. So nice and clean .. made me sensitive too. Forestella, what a great group. I have often listened to the song performed by Amy Nuttall.
It is actually an old English ballad perhaps dating back to the 1600s. Since the herbs in the song were sometimes associated with death some think it was a message to an old love that the writer was near death. The song was popularized by Simon & Garfunkel Garfunkel in the 1960s.
@EMPRESSJOYJEAN they just created their own version of this traditional song which became the best known version. But it has been around in various forms for centuries.
Yes Joy, you should do a reaction to the Simon & Garfunkel's cover of this 400 year old song. It proves that music brings people of all cultures, backgrounds, and even centuries together. The best songs can and will last through eternity. Music is indeed a universal language crossing time and space. Four amazing singer from Korea can sing a 400 year old song written in England, and bring a beautiful woman from Africa to the brink of tears. Music is powerful.
TThank you so much~~~^^ Please react to Forestellar's legendary song, "LEGENDS Never Die" And their new song "White Night" is coming out tomorrow, July 1st Please do that, too^♡^
There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him any more. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in same areas in fact while on my researching for English references.. so it could be just for remembering recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too.
What a great cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s epic classic. I liked your reaction Empress and yes you got through it! It was very pleasant to hear their voices and you nailed it with the “damn” I felt the same at the end! Have a wonderful evening! Thank you for always reacting to such amazing content and making it available to your fans and subscribers!
Thank you for your reaction! This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia!
Welcome to the Forestella world you have many to see that you can analyze Smoothth Criminal, Time in a bottle, Bohemian Rhapsody, Champions, Parlapiu Piano, Hijo de la Luna (son of the Moon), We are champions, Je Suis Malade, "Nella Fantasia" Korean song "Silla's Moonlight" If I leave, The Face that I Miss,Phantom of the opera,Time In A Bottle and bad romance and more Bae Doo Hoon: Tenor/Barítono. Kang Hyung Ho: Contratenor. Cho Min Gyu (Líder ): Tenor Operístico (leggero). Ko Woo Rim (Maknae y Vocalista): Bajo Operístico. ru-vid.com/group/PLdGP7B8Kj_RQVltHygvVwZc4YnFvlLF7O
