247 Hockey i love this video, plus I have a tournament game tonight and I’m looking forward to get more shot on net to create scoring chances for me and my teammates. thanks for the info!!
Perfect for me because I 70% of the time I miss the net Thanks 247 hockey I also tried your other drills I like shooting the puck off my heel of my blade
I was asking myself the same question, and only just starting to figure this out on my own, but you saved me a lot of time... I've already changed my practice methods. Great video. I've learned a lot from your videos over the past year, so thanks for putting in the time.
Im 16 now, played elite hockey all my life and one thing I regret was not practicing shooting in game like situations. Although I rarely ever missed my shot on a 2 on 1 I had difficulties finding the back of the net when I had to use a quick release. Great video. Props AJHL alum and love the OG total one twig you got there. Who cares if they've got signatures on em.
great video, I used to play Inline hockey as a teenager and have recently got back into shooting in my driveway for fun and exercise. i dont intend on playing again due to there not being much in my area and i work difficult hours to commit to a team. I want to get better even without playing actual games and this helps.
Another awesome vid. Combine this with placing a barrier in the way like you have in some of the other vids and you have a pretty potent situation where you can adapt to not so perfect placement and situation and still deliver
As a hobby player, I would say that for every 10,000 pucks you shoot (on/off ice), your shooting ability, speed and accuracy increases by about 10 per cent, from a base of zero. My guess is that it takes upwards of 100,000 pucks shot, to produce a pretty hefty, solid, and accurate shot. Of course, other things are involved as well. Interested to know what experience other people have.
I would agree to some extend but it's definitely not that simple. The WAY you shoot each puck plays a big role on how much you will improve and also as you get better the harder and harder it gets to improve. Just like anything, the the better you are the harder you have to work to make smaller gains.
@@CoachZac If it was easy, everyone would play hockey! Largely thanks to the RU-vid community - you, and other coaches are reaching and changing thousands of people's lives! Much gratitude.
This video helped me a lot I have accuracy problems in my games thank you. Can you do a video on how to do the datsyukian deke I’ve been trying to do it on my own but I haven’t been able to do it correctly
@@CoachZac please do I play on a 4 on 4 ball hockey league and would love some proper tips, Love the videos too your an awesome coach with great energy!!!!
Let's say your on a breakaway, and your sprinting as fast as you can to get a shot on the net, but your opponent is catching up to you. How would you get a good shot without stopping or turning to move away from them? It's a common mistake I have.
Got to shoot the puck quick. Don't overhandle it. Practice this situation at the end of practice have a teammate chase you and practice making the moves or shooting full speed so you get more comfortable and don't panic. Lastly, sounds like you need to work on your acceleration so that you don't get caught from players behind you.
5:04 "And this right here, is like a sniper rifle" that got me laughing since I always joke about hockey being a thing for those that can't shoot a rifle 😂
