Maybe the blood was from the night Silas punched Brian’s dad at the restaurant. And that was the night him and Charlie broke up and the next day they lost their memory
I came to the conclusion that the blood on the sheets were from the fight Silas had with Brian’s dad the night at the restaurant. However, to blame memory loss on fate is trash I wanted a tangible reason, like they took a drug or a spell was casted on them SOMETHING! It took a lifetime to just get to the end and be disappointed.
I was hoping it would be voodoo or something since they were in New Orleans!!! It would’ve been so much better. And the blood definitely makes sense with the fight.
this book actually made me tear up twice just because the love silas has for charlie is so strong and beautiful. i also relate to charlie in the aspects of her relationship with her manipulative dad. first colleen hoover book i’ve read, will definitely be reading more!
This is definitely not one of my favs of hers, but in my opinion, you’ll definitely fall in love with the rest if you liked this one!! Highly recommend November 9, Ugly Love, and Reminders of Him. Also It Ends with Us if you haven’t read that one yet.
All I can say is that if this was the first book I had ever read by Colleen Hoover, I would NEVER NEVER read another one. And being as how I love Colleen Hoover’s books…this is saying a lot. The book gave me the weirdest claustrophobic feeling all the way through. And right when I’m getting used to them coming to terms with their amnesia, boom…it happened again. It was weird, stuff was left unexplained, and somehow the editor didn’t catch the fact that the time when Silas didn’t lose his memory and Charlie did, they referred to events that happened the day AFTER as events happening the same day…so even the poor editor was lost in the storyline. I found it confusing, it didn’t flow, and I definitely felt two authors working on this didn’t help the flow and cohesiveness of the story line. I was disappointed I so much that was not really explained. It felt thrown together. And I agree…the ending was awful. And I cannot see myself reading the second in the series on this one.
I totally agree with you. I was so into the part one, but then part 2 and 3 feels like I was so lost in translation. I have the same exact questions with the ending lol. They had a good build up, but then fell apart. One thing, I wonder what happened to the mom? Or did I just missed it?
Completely agree, I too got sucked in with the 1st book and have so many questions at the end. I think a movie needs to be made to give us more answers.
Thank you for making this video, it seems like nobody talks about this book! It did not feel like a complete story at all. Somebody else caught the inconsistencies in editing where they would mention events that happened a different day as happening that same day. I'm gonna put more of my thoughts below since there are not many forums talking about this book. SPOILERS There was no answer to the blood/mud on the sheets, I assume the blood was from Silas punching Brian's dad but the mud?? We never got filled in as to what happened the first 2 times they lost their memory. Why was it every 48 hours? I caught that their first kiss was at 11am, so that makes sense but other than for the plot... why 2 days. Was her dad actually guilty? Are we supposed to believe he committed fraud just because we know he had an affair? AND finally: A fortune teller has a full blown medical facility in her house?? Access to drugs and needles and tranquilizers and hospital gowns? Sorry but wtf was all that. Why did she know about the amnesia? Seemed like they were taking advantage of it by calling Charlie by the wrong name. Honestly I thought the fortune teller was blackmailing the father, and Charlie and Silas found out and they did some voodoo so they would forget. That would have been a better ending, I think.
Yeahhh the story did not follow any sort of plot whatsoever. I was very disappointed in it considering how much I like some of Colleen Hoover’s other novels.
Felt like magical ending because the author got tired of writing the story. We don't know more about Cora, her mom or protagonists parents. We have to assume why they suddenly have amnesia and never find out where or how it started. I like reading it at the beginning too but got whiplash in the end. So abrupt!
@@heididischler I finished the book today it took me three months on and off to read because I got bored in the middle then the ending was picking up then it ended with so many unanswered questions it was extremely disappointing
The whole time I was wondering what was the cause and so disappointed to find out it was fate for them to find a way to falling in love again… I kept thinking it was connected to the Tarot reader, voodoo spell that one of the fathers did to the other father as revenge to what happened to the business and to find out her role was having an affair with Charlize dad and holding her hostage at the Jaimas Jaimas house??? How did she even get away with that ?? No investigation at the home or even Tarot reader and Cora? Charlize was left to think she was trespassing and Silas didn’t correct her even after she found out he didn’t lose his memory after visiting her dad….
You didn’t ruin it at all ! We share the same opinions! Why was their blood on his sheets ? WHY WERE THEY LOSING THEIR DAMN MEMORIES. That was the entire point of the book It felt like Colleen had too many ideas forming in her head, but she was on a deadline so she had to turn in what she had🤦🏾♀️ it felt rushed, and incomplete
I just finished the book.....and whatever u said are so true....I was so much into the first part and did thought that collen hoover did a wonderful job butthe part 2 and 3 made it wrong.......so many questions are forming after reqding this book which are not answered😑😑
At the end when they’re fooling around in the muddy puddle, I thought that would be it, that they would go back to his place and fool around some more and muddy the sheets, and it would be a kind of time loop that gets completed which I thought would be quite tasteful… wouldn’t have explained the blood… but hey
Solid 1 star for me..totally disappointed. Didn’t like the story, writing and everything about it. I’m a big Colleen Hoover fan but this book is such a no no for me 😢
Why did the tarot reader keep her locked up and call her sammy?? I get that she told her dad she thought she was on drugs but why change her name, what drugs was she giving her?? Surely she would have seen she was a missing person? The blood and mud I think was from the fight the night before, but why would he punch Brian’s dad if he had lost his memory the day before then aswell? So many questions, could’ve been something so much better
It definitely had so much potential and could’ve been so much better!! I think a lot of the unanswered questions come from having two different writers, but it still could’ve been executed better
@@heididischler yeah it’s like they didn’t really plan the story, I think the plot would’ve been a lot better if they’d actually committed a crime that her dad went to prison for but felt so guilty they tried to erase their memories and it backfired by happening every 48hours, and it had something to do with the shrimp and tarot reader, thats where I thought the plot was going anyway 🤷🏻♀️
I read this earlier this year and was not a fan. Part 1 started off pretty strong and then it all just fell apart. The reason for them forgetting was so cheesy and I just couldn’t get into it. 😂
SAME!!!! I think one of the authors wrote the first part, started super strong, and then the other author took over and the whole book fell off a cliff 😂
