The AiLi Battery Meter is a inexpensive way to make sure you know exactly how much charge you have left in your lithium battery.
This setup will work with any lithium batteries. I've been using it for a couple years now, with my Dakota Lithium battery that I use for my Minn Kota trolling motor my Old Town AutoPilot 136 kayak. It's water resistant and I've never had a single issue with it.

I want to get a meter for my kayak battery as well. I've seen other battery meters without a shunt. They just plug right into the battery terminals. Is there any reason to have it?

My understanding you have to have a shunt for a lithium battery. I could be wrong though.

Batteries are 12 volt. Not sure what you're asking exactly.

I have 2 60ah batteries running in parallel. Would I have any problems using this product?

I don't think so, but im not positive on how exactly you would set it up. I'm sure there is info out there on how to do it.

The battery box comes with thw Old Town Sportsman AutoPilot. If you want one you can get it directly from Old Town.

I am looking at buying this exact battery monitor for my portable battery box. My question is does it retain memory if the power is off? I would like to hook it to the main power switch so that it doesn't stay on all the time

I left mine on all the time. The power draw is very very minimal. I think it would be fine though.
