I knew that beast had some good engineering under the hood, oops I mean seat😉 great tour and you don’t have to be in the industry to appreciate a lot of the details because they are universal to well built equipment: quality parts, user friendly and innovative design. For the record, Spartan was my favorite booth at GIE and it’s awesome to see you putting one of their mowers to the ‘Ninja Wapacha Test’ and add my vote to the never say never to a stand on model! 👍👍👍

Just got the 2021 rz hd 48 and the full suspension seat is like a Air ride. Even haulin ass over ruts is like a smooth ride.

I bought a Simplicity lawn tractor 4 years ago, brand new. I was told by several people that it was a good brand. But I can guarantee the shop has seen it more than I have. Nothing but trouble. Last August I broke an axle, and it took 7 months to get the part. And the part cost $600. Tomorrow I will be buying a new Spartan RZ HD. The dealer recommended that model for my needs. I mow 4 acres of my own, plus a 2 acre cemetery. Hopefully I’ll be using it to mow with, instead of hauling it back and forth to the shop!

If you are still in contact with the company you should recommend moving the fuel tank to under the seat and as low as possible that would make this mower slay hills.

Went and looked at some today. Not the top of the line, RZ-HD though so pretty well up there. Price wasn't bad but I'm not impressed with the build quality. New mower, 61 inch deck but it sounds like noisy bearings and felt a vibration at al speeds, even when cutting a bit. Bars wanted to hit me in my fat little belly when backing up as well WITH the seat all the way back. Cut wasn't bad but not as great as I expected either. To me it felt like a step down from the Bad Boy in the feel and in the cut. just my .02.

That man knows his product that alone would make me look at what they have to offer. I have called several dealerships in my state and I felt like I was calling Lowe’s or Home Depot the people was not knowledgeable of their product and they to blow smoke up my butt the mask their ignorance. They could have had amazing mowers but I didn’t do any business with them because of the person I spoke with on the phone. If you BS me before you get my money 💴 I know it’s not going to get better moving forward.

General prices of goods and services rise over time, so it makes sense to keep up. However, every produce has a market price, and if you keep raising prices over market you will lose business. You always have to be aware of market pricing.

My control panel is messing up at 160 hrs three years. Spartan makes a replacement keyed panel. I guess the digital panel is not so great.

I was thinking of a gravely for my next mower, might have to check these out. Built 45min from where I live.

If I’m not mistaken the closest one to use is in Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia I’ve been to it talked with the dealer he is nice at the time he didn’t know much bc of it being so new 2 years ago. I feel the blades on it are just way thin and you’ll be going through blades like nuts plus they weren’t even sure at the time if we could add different blades that liked. I think personally it’s a amazing looking mower but with any company being so new in the game who knows could win or break them.

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

I bought a SRT XDE and it is a great machine at a great price.

Patrick Farrell I have a Spartan 54” RT With a Kawasaki FR691V 32 run hours and won’t run. Dealer says parts are back ordered with no end date. Spartan Customer service was no help with resolution and told me to take it up with the dealer. Very poor support and reliability.

My key pad went out when I called the engineer talked me through a troubleshooting on the phone and he said yes it’s out got my address and sent me a new one I changed it myself and sent the old one to him he said I was the first one that had went bad Spartan is hands down the best mower on the market and people are awesome also I love my spartan

Just bought spartan 54" .. I honestly tell you.. they are going to disrupt the mower business. You can not find a better mower for the price. All the big boy names better up their game.

I agree that all the boxes are checked - made in America, monster mower, good ride. However, the cut quality is crap!

look like a very nice mower but the dealbreaker is no bagger or vacuum system!! My opinion is if you're going to try to compete with elite brands like exMark, Scagg, Ferris, Toro, Grasshopper you're gonna have to come up with a system that has the capability of bagging!

So let me see if I got this correct, a spartan mower is like nicks wife, 6 levels of comfort while riding. That is going to trigger some of you D riders on here ;)
