Have the bag sent to a FedEx or UPs store...they will not only call you when it arrives but you can then have them hold for a few days or have them ship it you overnight...please thumbs up so Louis can see this...thanks :)

i had the worst travelling experience ever with airberlin recently. on the way to berlin my bags went missing for four days, and i couldn't get in contact with anyone to find out what was going on. they literally have no customer service whatsoever. we racked up an 100 euro bill on the hotel phone trying to call them non stop for two hours. i pushed it to the very last day i could but then i had to go and buy everything in my suitcase again because i was starting uni and i had nothing with me, and then it came the day after :-))))) and then on my way back to melbourne from berlin they wouldn't let me get on my flight because they said i wasn't in their system.. we called emirates and they spoke to the lady at airberlin and said "she should be on your system, i can see her here. let her on the flight. i can reissue the ticket and you can print it out and she can get on" and the airberlin lady literally snatched the phone off us and said "no I'm not helping you, I'm busy" and walked off. so we we missed our flight and was stranded for 10 hours at the airport and had to pay for a new flight :-))))))) so i feel raya's pain.

The Cold War is the most interesting part of modern history (for me). I got to visit Berlin with my school and it was pretty cool!

I lived in a Swedish, German, Italian and Portuguese community during the fall of the Berlin Wall. I was about ten years old and I remember having to stay inside and not being able to go to school because my grandfather had fought in WWII. Most of the children in my community had grandparents who had served during that war as well. I just remember being told to speak good thoughts because the Wall had divided families. My Grandfather never had to speak of the war until that day when Marine officers came to our door.

I was glued to the TV, I was a teenager then, and it was awesome to watch them fight for there families to be reunited and fredom

I can totally relate! When I was travelling to Colombia my bag got lost between Sydney and LA. I was staying in Colombia for four months and I didn't get my bag back for a whole month!

I was 8 and I remember watching on the BBC, in Hartlepool with me grand dad

I was newly 17 when the Berlin wall came down. My dad worked for a federal agency and was so happy to see this event. When the Soviet Union collapsed a couple years later, he couldn't believe that had happened in his lifetime.

I watched the Berlin Wall come down on tv. It was unbelievable. We didn't think it was ever going to come down.

I lost my bag for a few days once in Tanzania!! Yeah, I can definitely relate. I ended up having to sleep on a cement the floor with nothing but a sweater as a mattress/pillow/blanket. It was also a storage room, so their where little beans sticking into me as I slept. To say the least, it wasn't fun. I hope you get your bag back Raya!!

Last year I went to Tanzania. We waited for for our luggages and they never came, and the airport people told us there was not enough place in the plane to take our luggages (and 7 others) and they had stayed in Amsterdam (we are from Belgium and had made a stop in Amsterdam). They also told us they would came in the next flight and they would deliver it to us. The thing is, we were changing lodge everyday, going from place to place. 3 days later (yeah, 3 days) they finally deliver them.... But not without having a look inside before. The delivery guys had stolen every safari stuff they could find (brand new shirts and shoes) as well as perfume, .. So yeah, I can relate !

Haha Raya, that would totally be me with the trees getting in my way, while my boyfriend gets smooth sailing :P

yeah whenever the flights are devided .. luggage get lost .. this happens to me whenever I take many flights .. so I started booking for one way flight

East Berlin was part of the GDR (East Germany) which was a satellite state (Warsaw Pact) of the USSR as opposed to actually being a part of it. West Berlin was an exclave of West Germany quite far into the East.
