Surprising how the tear stains were pretty much non existent for a dog as shaggy as this little fellow was. And what a patient gentleman he was for his first ever groom.
From what you showed, this little boy was pretty well behaved for a first ever groom. He doesn't like the bath, but overall he was calm and willing to put up with what you wanted.
You are such a good groomer!! My little shin Tzu has such bad allergies that she has very little fur on her belly but has some on her back. Her legs and paws grow fur so she looks funny!
Wish u could come here to the United States i would pay u full price to groom my 3 shihtzu and new baby teacup pomeranian. My dogs are groomed regularly but u are just so relaxed the animals seemed to have more trust with u.
I love how you trim matted hair. Your technique is so nice. Other groomers on RU-vid try to cut through the matt, and they try to remove the matted hair as one solid piece. That process seems so torturous to the dog. Thank you for helping THESE dogs.
Not sure what you mean by 'cutting through the mat': groomers will try to go under the mat on a coat like this, as she does here. And as you can see at several points during the process, that does often involve a bit of digging and tugging, which, yes, is painful to the dog. But not so painful as it would be to let the matting get worse and worse. This is why we don't want them to get to this point in the first place, and we particularly don't want a stressful dematting to be their first experience of a grooming salon.
Today they shaved my bichon with 7 blade even her tail .will her hair grow back again back to normal ? And how long until she starts growing even small amounts of hair . She is really sad and I am really sad her skin shows so much I'm afraid she will get sunburned
Bichons aren't likely to suffer from shave shock, because they aren't double coated. Yes, her coat should grow back just as usual, as quickly as it normally grows. Sunburn may be a danger for a few weeks, so you may want to look into getting her a coat, depending on what the season and temperatures are in your area.
I think its dreadful that someone let the dog get into this state ! I have had several bichons who live beyond 18 years because i feed rhem on grain free diets and purified water! They are never at the vet except for preventative injections. My bichons live better than most people ! I do hope this poor dog went to a lovely home !
I started my dog at 4 mos and he hates it. Still does. He’s too wiggly. Hates for his feet to be touched and especially any trimming around his face. Grrrrrr
I hate the show look for Bichons. I think he looks great. He was so mellow. for a dog that age. He wasn’t scared of anything. Btw, is the dog a boy? You cut out that part of the groom.
People that own this dog are horrible. I have a bichon and it very painful to them when their hair gets matted. If you don't keep them combed and cut they are in constant pain because their type of hair get knots very easily.
