This almost made me cry, chris is a person who isn't afraid to talk about reality, who actually admits it, you don;t really see famous people talking like that because they are always trying to feel superior but chris is just like a normal kid, his eyes are actually more open than many of ours. :c i love his music and his lyrics they're so beautiful and deep. this is gonna leave me thinking...
probably one of my favorite Chris Drew interviews. what a genuine person. This is making me wonder if I really want to go into the music industry or not. Is it worth losing my soul and my happiness and love for music?
He's such a humble guy, I love the fact that he doesn't want to sellout and like he said, write songs that are made just for the money. I feel like more musicians should have the same philosophy as Christofer, music would mean so much more if everyone wrote songs from their heart ❤
I really wish I hadn't watched this. You could tell that he was super down at this time but this just kind of re-affirmed that. The fact that he was talking to Singer made me feel slightly better though. Thanks for putting this up!!! :)
i remember watching no room for rockstars and seein this. i literally cried a bit. i felt so bad. he such a good, honest guy. it sucked seeing him so down, and out. :/
i understand where he is coming from and why he wants to go home. He loves music and wants everyone to be happy so he goes out there and does it for the fans but on the flip side he wants to go home and see his family, he wants to be loved by the people he never got truly loved by. hes been on the road so long he just wants to take a break, and thats why some fans like that girl go over board and i think he just wants everyone to step back and listen to the music.
This made me cry. Made me think of my life and how society and everything is. I love Christopher Drew, his music, his lyrics are beautifully put together and I can relate to couple of his songs which I can listen to all day and be happy. I love music, but seeing him like this makes me super sad. This may be old, but i'm pretty sure he still has those thoughts here and there. We can get through this I promise.♥
Chris is real life. Chris may not be perfect, but he's better than most of us. He gets it. He's more than just money and sales. And he sings like an angel. This is why I love Chris-3
This whole video makes me cry. He's pretty much the only person in the world that if he's not smiling, my heart breaks. It absolutely kills me to see him so sad and helpless. Especially the end where it's talking about the tornadoes in Joplin. I live pretty close to there, so my dad and I went to help out with whatever we could. It was terrible. So I know it really hurt him to see his whole childhood town in ruins.
Chris is so real and down to earth to a level that most of us can't even comprehend. That's why he seems kind of stuck up to some of his fans because they don't realize that he's a real person. He's so incredibly talented but I feel like the spotlight isn't really for him. He's just a regular guy that likes to chill at home and happens to have an incredible talent and passion for music
I hear the sadness in his voice. The song sellout exactly describes what he feels. He's trying not to give in to all that but its just so hard. He feels like giving up. It started out innocent and pure but now he feels like its just 'for the camera'... Its just how I think he feels... Just sharing my thoughts :(
you cannot pay me enough to be famous.... Fans think you owe them the world..um no...if im a musician my dedication to music is enough. If he wants to give hugs and chat with fans that's his right..but if he doesnt then no one should be upset. I feel so bad for him..i see why he's so lowkey now.
Why wouldn't that girl stop bugging him? He was obviously in able to sign with both hands occupied for medical reasons. When she tried to take a picture he was right to look away because she was extremely rude and disrespectful when he said politely he couldn't. They only got angry when she refused to leave them alone . Why does music always have to be about the money and the industry? Does music have a deep meaning to anyone anymore. I was going to comment as well, but for what?, you said it perfect:) I have no posters or T-shirts of the band, or bracelets, I have not seen them, came to my country and I could not go (I have 13 and would not let me go alone), I have nothing of them, but the feeling is carried in the heart and that's what really matters (:
Welp, all hope of seeing Chris at warped tour just went down the drain lol. But in all seriousness this reminded me of why I fell i love with him and his music
This saddens me. I love Chris in every possible way, have for almost 4 years. And I hate to see him so drained. He's such a great person and I think he deserves a break. And I know this is old, but now more and more people want something from him. I don't even know what I'm saying but I wish I could tell him in person.
Chris is such a lovely person. I really want to see him live someday, but I don't want to have to deal with his obnoxious fans. Just.. that girl was relentless.. he obviously wasn't in the mood for a picture. :c
everytime i start to dislike chris cause of drugs (i just dont like that lifestyle) i watch an interview and see how down to earth and real he is and cant get over him again... ughhh

He really couldn't give that girl ten seconds to give an autograph? She was a crazy huge fan, I mean if there wa like a crowd of fans asking for stuff I'd understand but shes clearly someone who was looking forward to that moment for months

You know, I really wanted to go to warped tour this year. I've never been and I really thought it'd be great. But after seeing this, seeing how it's nothing but a commercial product of the music industry, I really don't. I don't support this; I support the bands, but not the commercializing of everything. Warped Tour used to be all about music and up-and-coming artists. Now, it's just about selling to kids who are willing to buy...
