I have used styofoam for years but, only in the bottom of pots. It's easier to remove in the bottom when changing pot sizes. It saves on potting soil and makes big plants much easier to move about. I have never used it edibles because I believe it to toxic.

Ở khu vực nhiều mưa, thứ này bịt các lỗ thoát nước và gây úng cho cây. Tôi đã mua phải chậu có foam, cây bị chết và tôi trồng cây mới mà không thay đất, cây lại chết. Tôi tháo ra và thấy chậu bị foam bịt kín không thoát nước được. Tôi bỏ hết chỗ đất ô nhiễm đó và trồng cây khác.

Bonjour, j' ai déjà observé la présence de polystyrène dans des plantes achetées mais je n'ai jamais utilisé votre méthode. C'est très intéressant mais j'ai une question concernant les plantes potagères, donc qui se mangent : est ce compatible ? N'y a t il pas un risque de contamination toxique ?
