But this whole design makes it destroy itself and never recover if it, during a long life, looses some gas... Result is it starts logging oil in evaporator which now acts as a trap due to the design. Also, what I don't get is, if it is so bad for oil to flow up the suction pipe, why is there no one-way valve there? It only takes a few grams of force to close it so it can hold back the oil, and it would not cause a significant pressure drop for the system during runtime. I see as lot of standing fridges have a design on the evap that not only captures all the oil as the compressor shortstrokes etc from heat or whatnot, and then never allows oil to return.

Thank so much for this video. Please May I ask: Thank you so much for your response. The thing is, I want to buy a table top freezer, I saw two brands that I love which are the same sizes of freezers, but one of the freezers has a smaller compressor. Shd I buy the one with the bigger compressor or the one with the smaller compressor? Is the one with the bigger compressor more powerful than the one with the smaller compressor? Remember that the freezers are the same sizes table top freezer

A while ago someone gave me a used fridge that had no major physical damage but it did not work--the freezer and fridge would not cool down. I bet it was because they transported it in the wrong position causing the compressor oil to clog the tubes and coils.

Hello, I'm an architecture student from France and I'm looking for the 3d model of the Machu Picchu you've posted a few years ago on your chanel. Is it still available for download? Best regards.

@@angelaalbert4305 its been 2 months since i ruined mine. I figured, it can not be fixed by letting it sit in the garage. The only way is to remove the evaporator, and flush the whole system, which is not worth the effort. Just rent a truck from Uhaul or a trailer.

If you have already transported a fridge on its back then it all depends on whether the oil made its way up into the evaporator or not. If it did then your fridge is probably finished. If not then it should be ok. Just turn it on and hope for the best. Before I did my research I transported a lot of fridges on their backs with no problems. I finally had two fridges die on me when I turned them back on, which prompted me to do the research.
