In this video I will show you what you need to do in the River District. I will show you the quests and how to earn Evidence of Evil. I hope this video makes it easier for you to quest and clears up the confusion in zone chat!
Correction: you dont need to do all the things on the list, you can choose to just spam HEs and finish the list... Everything in the list gives you a % towards completion.
Secure the district gives Arcane Magical Writings (unbound) which are also very important as a reagent for your weapons. You need a total of 105 of them. So don't underestimate secure the district! This was actually my bottleneck instead of the arcanic focus as reagents for the weapons. As for the evidence of evil. Once you progress in the campaign and unlock one of the primary boons, you will get a weekly quest that gives another 25 evidence of evil and 5 arcanic focus.
Well, I think this video is a general informational video right? ;-) So also for people who want to get the weapons (most of them). Anyhow, even if you DON'T want the weapons because you already have relic weapons... These AMW are unbound (!) and (at least on PC) they sell for 10k AD each on the AH! Easy money I would say, since you can fill up secure the district in about 10-15 minutes by: killing enemies, doing heroic encounters and upgrading guardposts (digsites don't give points here). And since you are roaming in this area anyway, it will fill up gradually. For resist the rituals the same applies: you get a box (I don't remember the name) which contains a selection of one of the purple reagents for weapons. Here the aboleth reagent seems to be the way to go.. since they also sell for ~10k AD iirc... For some weird reason resist the ritual HE's only give 5% here, and digsites as well. The big contribution to reisist the rituals is the 'praying' you can do at the altars behind the rituals which cost 10 reclaimed magic and give you 30% on this campaign task! All in all, my point is: "don't underestimate these two campaign tasks" since you were a bit lackluster about them ;-)
I understand what you are saying, and you have good points. At this time on Xbox the pricing is a lot lower, but when players start getting the weapons it may go up.
This is to XBOX ONE and PS4 players from a PC player, there is a different and a better way of farming "Resist the ritual" task.......all you have to is to farm Reclaimed magic from Dig-site "Dungeons" (Not dig-site crypts or dig-site sewer, info: Crypt gives reclaimed riches, sewers gives reclaimed weapons). After farming around 300 reclaimed magic or more (which doesn't take much time if your toon is decently geared), you have to go the Ritual Heroic Encounter sites and donate the reclaimed magic to the alter, and you can easily farm "Resist the ritual" task. To get the unrestored weapon set, you can reduce their price by performing the tasks at the bottom..I suggest doing that at least 2 times to reduce the price of weapon set, (beside it also unlocks the Traveling Merchant shop and from her you can buy Voninblod in exchange of abandoned treasures and ancient runic keys). Some ingredients/reagents for restoring the weapon set are buyable from auction house, the biggest challenge is to farm Arcane Magical Writings (although you can buy them from auction, but on PC prices were high), not Arcanic focus (you can get 2 Arcanic focus per day from daily quest and 1 from dig-sites and 5 from weeklies).

playing on pc, finished the campaign. Like you I wanted to know how to get it done efficiently. Here's how -, once you have your purchased your weapons (and probably even before that), ship is really not the way to go - doing a single small he, and buying magic with treasures to donate to the ritual will complete your required 100% every day - you get 10% completion for every 10 magic donated, plus this enables you to complete at least 1 if not 2 'resist the rituals' in the space of a minute, and will get your daily done in max 5 minutes. Doing a regular round of digsites (as well as or instead of daily he's) can help you get the materials you need, and of course you need to grind the portals for the relevant restoring materials for the weapon. All in all, ship is about the worst way to do it.
Ships is mostly for use that still need the EOE. after that I see the point in doing smaller he's. However you still need to do one dig site for the daily quest :(
admittedly i did not especially try to get 5 bonus eoe a day but seems I was getting them about as often from small he's as ships. I only do ships if they pop in the instance I'm in. The nice thing about small he's (particularly nostura or gyrion ritual) is you can solo them if you're strong, or if you're weaker you only need a buddy or 2 and there's no need to be constantly begging in the zone for an invite. Add to that they're actually shorter to complete. If its only you and your party doing the she, you get credit for every single kill towards secure the area, if that's the quest you took. Still don't think the ship he is essential for anything, just the obvious thing to do when you don't know any better.
the ship may not be the best, except it can drop 2 EOE and 2 magic. At the end of the day I think it's just up to you and what you want to do. both ways work.
I've completed all other campaigns and CA is so tedious that I'm never going to complete it. Thanks for this video, I thought I was doing something wrong but now I know this campaign is the worst. I hope you come back, all the other NW content creators work for craptic.
Actually, the "optional" quest (retrive magic from a dungeon, loved one's remains from a crypt, etc.) from the Mercantile Missions quest giver isn't optional. If you don't do it, it won't allow you to complete Mercantile Missions despite the fact that all parts are 100% complete. It confused a lot of people during PC launch, including myself.
The thing with the guard posts is, when one post is yellow or the digsite is red and there is a shovelsign, you cant upgrade any other post so yout have to upgrade the red one first and you don't have to do every point on the questlist, you could run 5 digsites and it will be at 100% aswell.
the only thing i have against this new mod. is that all the campaign currency goes into your intventory, when really should go into your Useful items tabs.. What do you think FNHUSA57?
Wow! Thanks! Seems like a bunch of unnecessarily complicated crap you have to do. They could have, and should have, made it much less arduous. Not even fun when it's like this; seems more a chore than a game.
might be different on the PC but you don't have to do everything on the lost you just have to get the mission to 100% we usually just do i believe it's 5 dig sites to get our 100% and you can also complete the secondary mission as well

They were covered in my Live stream, testing the EoE daily cap. But the way they work is you get a portal stone, except the quest, then do the quest and you get a bow you can open. That box "sometimes" gives you an EoE. However the drop rate is very low
This was an incredibly confusing campaign out the gate, but we were able to work through the nonsense. What I haven't figured out are the new artifact weapons and the stats/perks that go with them. Where can we find that info at?
Hello! I'm new to the game. I found out that doing this campaign you get a token for a free character change appearance, but at what point you get the token?
What you just discussed was exactly how I felt.....alot of wth wth ...where...wth is this....damn need this evil crap...30??? How many more do I need....sigh. But....its new, shiny and looks like it will keep me busy for a while. I need to start looking for the treasure map locations...do they drop evil?
honestly I do not understand what your asking? After you do the starting quest line you "have the campaign" however the progress would be at a low %. I know they have re done how the campaigns work in this game & I can't currently play so I do not have and exact answer for you without more information.
i was doing this mission earlier today and the meter was not going up. i was killing people it stayed at 9%, i was upgrading post, nothing happened..maybe mine was bugged or something
