Hey Gus! Thanks for another great vid! I'm still leveling workshops and just hit level 13 in jewelcraft on one of my latest. I can confirm that's the level for the sending stone. Just picked mine up. For any new crafters, all you need is 10 "iron sand +1" to complete the quest. Very easy to have your gatherers farm (probably not that expensive in the AH if you'd rather just buy it).
@@lightcookie1 That's a great question! And also a challenging one to answer. So, you need to ask yourself a few questions. First, are you trying to get ALL of your professions to max or just one (or a few)? Then you have to figure out how much time you want to actively vs. passively devote to your workshop. The early stages can be much more of a time sink than the later ones. Take it in steps. Here's how I do it: 1. When I first create a workshop, I always choose jewelcraft as my main profession. It's not as inexpensive as leathercraft and is certainly not the main crafting task I ultimately want at level 20, but it's the fast/easiest to level quickly while still creating a revenue stream. 2. Unless you're starved for money (game gold), use your morale to craft items that require higher skill than your current artisan and tool provide (just don't go crazy). I start with crafting bone necklaces until my artisan hits level 3, then switch to hartshorn rings. You'll get lots of failures, but the few successes will net you a massive xp jump that you wouldn't get by crafting things within your skill level. ***Make sure you're using tools that match the level of your crafter. At level 3, you can use bronze, tools, at level 5 iron, etc. You can buy those from the professions vendor (don't buy them from the AH unless you have way too much AD on your hands.. LOL). +1 tools are great, but you're better off crafting them yourself or at least waiting until your crafter hits a level where it will be awhile before you need another tool. You should easily hit level 5+ (usually level 8 or close to it) in a profession using the 400 morale you get on day one. 3. Focus on leveling your workshop to at least rank 3. Rank 2 is easy and doable on the first day you get your shop. The reason for this is simple: delivery box space and application quality. At rank 2, you'll get 6 more delivery box spaces (and arguably better) applications. At rank 3, you'll get another 6 delivery box spaces and will start getting rare (blue) applications. There are some pretty awesome artisans in that set (and some bad ones too). Focus on the ones you want, but note that you need 14 artisans to get to rank 3. Your toon and one of the artisans will also need to be level 15 or higher. Don't try to do everything at once. My goals are to rank up, so I ONLY craft in the profession I'm leveling and I'll only use the best/fastest artisans to do it. In most cases, I don't even use my adventurer artisans (gatherers) until I've hit the main crafting level I'm looking for. You don't want your delivery box to fill up in 2 hours when you're sleeping because you weren't there to keep the crafters going. Figure out how fast the delivery box fills up and how often you want/need to empty it. Your biggest asset for leveling is your daily morale. Make sure to use it. But in between, absolutely have your crafters making things at or near their skill level. It's counterproductive to have 3 artisans making sellable items every 10 minutes and 3 gatherers doing the same. That means you're filling 6 spaces in your delivery box every 10 minutes, or completing filling a rank 2 workshop's box in 30 minutes. If you want the progression, work on materials you'll need later. I often use daily morale on items like steel ingots, mithral ingots, etc. That gives a bigger boost to leveling than items you can craft. If you need the revenue stream as well, do tasks that give the biggest xp while using the smallest amount of morale. Hartshorn rings for jewelcraft fall into that category. They're a fairly high rank task, but cost only 5 morale to rush and the materials are inexpensive. Other professions have similar items, but the materials can sometimes cost more than the silver you'll get from selling it. It will still get you there, but much slower. Even if you do not have the time to level all your alts up to unlock the workshop, you can still collect the daily quest on them for the petals and still get lots of petals.
Last year, I parked all of my low level toons right next to the main quest giver. Log in, get quest, then go get the other one and you're done. It's also a nice alternative to leveling up a workshop to do the Sahha balls. That initial (1 time only per alt) sahha ball quest (where you have to queue to the sahha match) is a bear getting into if you're trying to get in after the 2nd day. You can skip it on low level alts and still get lots of event currency (in far less time than the quests take during Winter Fest).
@gusarcher5446 I wanna be clear, it's not worth my time because I'm still accumulating gear and I also don't like doing things over and over. 20 Phantasmal Fortresses and my brain is punching me from the inside (🤣). The 5 minute reset makes it worse.
I opened the piniatas in Narbondelyn last year, with the NPCs who give you the weekly. The "guards" give the Piniata a oneshot, so you don't have to constantly go out of the menu and attack 😅👍
Given the fact that we gonna upgrade both insignias, as well as collars soon to celestial. Everybody is gonna need a bunch load of dust, so rather than selling insignias, ppl might wanna start stocking dust. I assume that prices on legy insignias is gonna go up significantly when ppl realize how much dust they need. 5 collars x 3000 dust (15k) & at least 20 insignias x 3000 dust as well (60k) = minimum 75k dust pr. person, potentially more.
With the zen xchange out almost 10 months now on PC I have a huge stock pile of AD just from daily dungeons. This is just going to make the PC zen exchange even worse than it is now lol
Ugh! I had hoped the exchange time had drastically improved, but your estimate is right on the mark. My last 3 purchase: 1) offered 4 August 23, filled 21 May 24... 2) offered 31 July 23, filled 16 May 24, offered 11 Jul 23, filled 26 Apr 24. :X Better than nothing, but I'd sure love to have that sweet x-box exchange time!!! :P All you have to do is look at the exchange and zen just flies into your hands (ok, that might be a bit exaggerated, but not by much). LOL
@@tooready61 Yep, that's why I stopped my artisans from crafting petals after the event and 1 week grace period ended. They'll keep crafting, but the petals disappear from inventory as soon as you gather them from the delivery box.
Each character is crafting petals constantly. If you have a lot of a characters, you'll be making so many petals at one time. Our delivery box will fill quite fast so we will have to check often.
This is a bit off topic Gus, but im now ready to advance my toon from average all rounder, to more advanced player (useful) and I'd love your input Outside guild/aliance I lead most lobbies (often considerably). Wow, ty. I'll finish watching a bit later. As for leveling alts, I recommend that players who only have an hour or so to play everyday who do random Qs to skip those and work on leveling alts. It will pay off 100x fold when your done making your army.
