Madeleine is actually a small french cake made with a lot of butter, it has a soft sweet buttery smell. Then sometimes people add a hint of vanilla or orange blossom or lemon zest, so the smell variates.

I love madeleines, this smells like when you’re baking them and open the oven, that warm sweet whiff, so good! This is a sophisticated gourmand imo, cant wait to rock it in France in a couple of weeks
i blind bought the biggest bottle (all the other sizes were out of stock but i didn’t even care) && was so happy to unbox my package but it never came because they sold out😭 sephora sent me a hand lotion instead i was like no way😭but im so happy you like it !! we have similar noses and i’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews

OMG thank you for making this video!! No Sephoras in my area have testers of Afternoon Delight and I’ve been hesitant to blind buy this because I’ve seen so many mixed reviews about it. Your review has really reassured me since I find that out of all the fragrance RU-vidrs I watch, your nose is the one I relate most to. Can’t wait to try it out for myself!!
I tried this as well .. was not my cup of tea so to speak. My favorites and go to’s from Maison Margiela Paris Replica will always be Jazz Club 🎷 🎺 as well as Coffee Break ☕️ 😍 👌🏽
My camera softens the skin a bit on my sit down videos and the lighting as well but when I film my tutorials for my makeup you can see my skin texture on those. I struggle with hormonal acne once in a while and I do have scaring from high school ☺️

I think it also depends very much on your body chemistry which comes out particularly with lactonic fragrances unfortunately. It comes out amazingly on some peoples skin and others baby spit up, or too base note leaning like too sandalwoody etc. It has a lot to do with whether your skin is alkaline, acidic, or neutral and also scent association, preferences and scent memory. BUT definitely especially with lactonic scents the chemistry of your skin. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. Lol! 🧪🥮🌸

Starbucks has a Madeline trio in their little pre wrapped goods. Give them a try but don't do like I did I ate those before trying the pink drink for the first time and I swore up and down that drink tasted like ice cold pickle juice 😅 because I ate the sweet before the drink. The next month I tried that drink by itself and fell in love but the little Madeline cookies were really good.
I’ve had my nose on Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sx and this perfume. They’re different. Whereas the vanilla in Afternoon Delight leans on the sweet side, Vanilla Sx is more…adult? Like, the bitter almond nearly buries it - at least to my nose. Anyway, thanks for the review! I ordered mine as soon as Sephora had it available. The first spray from mine smelled strongly of imitation vanilla extract. I picked up a little bit of the lemony-ness of the madeleine. Not picking up the creaminess of the whipped cream yet. I’ll probably let it sit for a while until it develops. Maybe it’ll smell like it’s supposed to after some time.
I have this same scent and in my review I said it reminded me of the Ellis Brooklyn too which I didn’t like. I’m going to keep it and let it sit and hopefully it’s gets better cause so far I don’t love it.
I love this perfume, and I bought it the day it came it out. I find that it's very sweet, but I dont mind it. I love the vanilla and musc scent. I think this would be perfect for the cooler months.❤
I think it’s only going to get better and better. I don’t want to judge it completely since it’s still summer and that could be why so many people are getting spoiled milk from it but luckily I haven’t gotten that one bit. It keeps smelling better each time I try it 🙌🏼🥰
I purchased this and retuned. Unfortunately I got a sour milk smell on me, rather have dulce or Bianco latte. I probably didn’t give it a fair shot because only tried it twice. Madeleine cookies are sold at Starbucks and are delicious. Like always the makeup is 100! Love your video and reviews. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m seeing very mixed reviews with this one and I totally get it because I got sour milk from the Phlur caramel skin and I had to return it 🥲 im going to have to go to Starbucks soon to try one 😋 thank you so much ❤️🥰
I did kind of start out like vanilla milk for me also but just in the beginning. I hate the first spray vanilla milk. It makes me want to gag, but then after that, I love it so I have kept it. just received today so I’m going to give it the overnight test so far after the first spritz it seems very, very good

If I had to choose one I would go with Dulce but it’s because I’ve had mine sitting for two years and I am in love with the way it smells now but when I first got it, it wasn’t a love. I think afternoon delight will get better and better as it sits (hopefully 🤞🏼☺️)
Dulce was a like when I first got it and I remember it being better than vanilla milk but I still wasn’t 100% sure about it until I let it sit and the longer it sits the more I love it! I think the same will happen with afternoon delight 🤞🏼🥰
I'm glad you're enjoying Afternoon Delight. Unfortunately. I'm one of those people who was really disapointed. By the fireplace is sweeter and more gourmand vs Afternoon Delight IMO. There is this stink in the backgrpund that I get really bad in the opening that reminds me of a sharpie pen. It settles after the opening but i can definitely smell a stink still and its super disappointing. Marketing made me think this fragrance was going to be way more sweet than it is - to my nose anyway😊
It reminds me more of Lira then BL. Unfortunately this has zero performance for me ( which is weird because I normally don't have an issue with replica scents)
This was a let down for me.i didnt get the gourmand i was hoping for. Madeline who?madeline where?all i got was a powdery ,milky bomb with sandalwood.id say this is a woody fragrance.im going to let it sit and come back to it.😮
I am having a hard time with this fragrance! I am getting baby puke! Like when a baby is on formula and throws up. It stayed the whole way through. Definitely going to keep it and let it sit and see if that changes but so far not a fan.
