Today, Bambu Lab released a new 3D printer, the A1.
This new model is similar to the previous A1 Mini but with a bigger printing volume.
The A1 is also capable of multicolor printing if you add the AMS Lite unit.

They stopped selling A1 everywhere, there's been a recall because of the cable powering the bed beeing a potential fire hazard. Until they figure out what is wrong you won't be able to buy A1.

As the person above me said, they have stopped selling them everywhere. But Bambu Lab said that they should be back in stock everywhere by the first week of May.

Between the a1 mini and a1, which do u reckon is more reliable and less maintenance since they have different mechanics for the axis?

Fun fact. Print area (on bed) is not strictly the same as X1* or P1*. It's bigger in A1 for "normal" case. X1 and P1 have one corner small area excluded from printing by default and require tinkering (like 3d printing and installing part) to make it usable (procedure described on bambu wiki).

Thank you for this superb, very detailed video and it's a pleasure, this A1 interests me greatly, I only print PLA and I'm hesitating between this A1 and P1s because I would like to know which of the 2 makes quality prints, the speed ok but above all the quality, thank you for giving me your opinion on these 2 machines, best regards...

From other reviews (Aurora Tech for one) - the A1 and P1S print similarly. The big difference is in the P1S being more easily enclosed, allowing for printing toxic and/or heat sensitive materials like ABS or nylon. If you print in mainly PLA and have no plan on changing soon, the A1 + the AMS lite is cheaper than the P1S without the AMS - A1 is a no-brainer

Nope it's only capable of printing with only 4 filaments per Bambu's website

Is the true printing volume 256 x 356 x 256? Cus my ender 3 had 235 x 235 x 250 but the true print volume is 220x220x250

Olá Rui, comporei recentemente uma A1, tenho uma artillery X2 e já fiz muitas luminárias lá. No entanto ainda não encontrei a forma de correcta de fazer isto na A1, ou seja mais de 4 cores em same layer com AMS e também sem AMS. Poderias-me ajudar?

Bom dia Ricardo, uma técnica que pode explorar é colocar mais cores no slicer, definir a sequencia de cores a imprimir e depois, durante a impressão, retirar o rolo que já imprimiu por um outro de outra cor que ainda vai imprimir...e assim sucessivamente.

@@mariospanayiotou6644 Hospital prices in the US are mad, $1800 for 2 tetanus shots is crazy.. that is were the problem is.. normal prices is normal health care Insurance price.But thats another topic. Nice printer but ill pass for now.
