@@johtojonny Me too. Back before 3's release, I thought he was Viola's dad reincarnated in Inferno. After playing it, I thought he might be a version of Balder trying to help his granddaughter. Now that that theory's out the window, I'm starting to circle back around to Luka 😅.

Quick theory, but what if the game is a flashback/repeat. Since the avalon forest is usually a paradise you go to after you die. What if this is brave cereza, and she has to relive a specific moment in her childhood, and re-become bayonetta and get revived?

I've thought about that... and while it's possible, I think it's very unlikely. It's also possible she was sent to relive a moment from this other timeline, but that's also low possibility

Perhaps Cereza is saving Rosa because she is running out of time due to her infernal contract since umbra witches need to kill angels or they are dragged into inferno.

My theory regarding the new character is he's a younger version of Lukaon. Remember this game is expanding on the Fae, so that means him appearing is a guarantee. I do believe Mab will be appearing tho, that we can agree on. Though given the fact that the Witch in the opening tells Cereza to be wary of Fairies tells me she may be an antagonistic figure here. She may even be Lukaeons mother or older sister. She may even be wielding the Mab-dachi when combating Cereza.

This was such a GREAT analysis! I knew the Umbran elder will be in the game, I also feel like Balder is going to appear but time will tell! Everything you spoke on here makes sense, and I feel it'll not only give a background on Cereza, but definitely Luka!!!

Fine work on this video! Right now, some of my guesses mirror yours. I actually lean more towards "Origins" being an all-new timeline, if not somehow Lukaon's. Reason I think that is because I predict Kamiya and co. would rather take advantage of the possibilities thereof for a Cereza whose path is not the same of the ones we've seen leading in the three games we've seen thus far. And if, somehow, this game does well enough to warrant a sequel of its own, then you can just continue using this Cereza without the risk of "interfering" with whatever may go in future mainline games. Not unlike how the Zelda games consistently had games that had Link as both an adult, as well as "smaller" games with him still being a kid. Also...I really hope that the "White Wolf" is, somehow, Balder. Yeah, Avalon Forest would be forbidden, but to be fair...he's already an exile from his own clan. You'd think that if he somehow got wind that his lover disappeared into the realm of the "Fair Folk" (with his own daughter trekking in after her!), he'd do everything within his power to help them both. Even if, at worst, there was perhaps a law that he couldn't directly interact with his daughter. It'd just be nice for at least ONE version of Cereza and her parents to enjoy happier times, before we assume the Clans Wars are still doomed to occur in this timeline.

Maybe because this may be an all-new timeline, perhaps the events of the Clan Wars don't occur over here because...well, the fact that we got Fairies up in here (and at least some of the more nefarious among them may be making their own moves) is enough to stow the animosity. When I think about how some folklore had Fairies being depicted as the "Third Heavenly Host", who later got kicked out of heaven and forced to settle on Earth because they didn't take a side when the Devil's Rebellion happened, I think about all the possibilities that P* could pursue if they really go balls to the walls with making Fairies just as much a force to be reckoned with as Angels and Demons. And unlike the other two groups, who seemingly can only interfere in the world of humans through dotted occasions or places closest to either Inferno or Paradiso, the "Fair Folk" have always been here, meddling in human affairs...

We know that some fairies like to go into Inferno to collect roses, as both Garnet and Onyx Rose have the souls of fairies inside them. And we know Rodin created the guns as well, so he knows about them. Though these fairies may be a different species given the different spelling of Faeries in Bayonetta 3.

I think you are on to something about this young cereza being connected to the Bayonetta B0. If you think about bayonetta one Rodin gives you onyx roses which talks about fairies. However in Bayonetta 2 fairies aren’t talked about. So I’m sure there is some kind of connection.

I believe the horned being 4:32 , might connect with who you think as Jeanne’s mom, but I’m not sure if Jeanne is a horned being from the start. As Rakun has discussed where the origin of Queen Mab came from, which was also referenced in a Monty Python film.

What makes you guys think it'd be Jeanne's mom? To me the coloration is the only connection to Jeanne. And yes I've studied up on Queen Mab as well 🥰 She's depicted in several poems from different authors

@@johtojonny It couldn’t be Jeanne’s mom, since the horned being’s actual close up is at 1:39, with details of her horns behind her neck and are a part of her head. I’m betting the Elder would be her mom. Aside from that, the confusing thing, in Bayo history, is Jeanne’s family name. Is she Jeanne Queen or Jeanne D’arc? In Bayo 3, she’s referred to as Q.T. Jeanne. Not confusing is that Viola is living both the Bayonetta and Redgrave family names.

Wow, this whole Luka/Cheshire deal you implied.. "The lost outcast" of course because Luka entered Inferno in an unconventional way. And then he became a demon, and possed Cheshire to help Cereza, and Viola more down the line. Luka has always been called Cheshire by Bayo so it was foreshadowing all the way back in 2009. It's just speculation of course but it somehow makes a lot of sense.

What if, and it’s a big what if but… what if there are multiple versions of Cheshire demons out there… and they were Lukas? Imagine that when a Luka dies, they sometimes end up in inferno and become Cheshire demons (just like Madama Butterfly has multiple versions). They then look out for Bayo and Viola because they still remember their own fondly. Then, the Cheshire helping this Bayo could be a recently deceased Luka looking for a way back “home” meaning back to life (or maybe just his home universe 🤷‍♂️). All I’m saying is maybe we did see Luka gameplay after all 👀

Fairies air, Undines, water, Salamander fire and Gnomes earth...for those who count the fifth element of Spirit ..my personal opinion is that is the dominion of Mab/ Titania, Oberon and the courtly Fea, but that is only my opinion..

Where was it said that Origins is in any way an "Indie" title? It's developed by Platinum, published by Nintendo and has a 60$ price tag, just like Bayonetta 3. Y'all need to stop throwing that word around to reference anything that doesn't look like the most generic AAA 3d title
