Pretty cool. The only missing feature is HDMI out. That said, I always thought that the SFC/SNES version of Turtles in Time was better than the arcade version.

It's really crazy how great those games still look and play today. Goes to show how great 2D art can hold up and is basically timeless. Those games are pushing 40 too.

I am a little disappointed they didn't do a Hero turtles variation, as the UK machine is quite different, Has the NES boxart for the side art on the machine. But no one ever called it Hero Turtles here in schools, it was always Ninja. and the live action movie was still "Ninja" here.

Hey John , another awesome review under your belt ,😂 TMNT of that era is amazing , , if these Cabinets have HDMI output then they are truly worth picking up , however the $ price is a bit steep in 2024 , , ,🤔🧐😸👍

I've never seen the ninja turtles befor but she didn't seem lika a report to me. She was working for the guy who made the robots that trashed the sewer. Qt least in the gba video cart i randomly obtaned. Also gba video is weird. Ot reminds me of vhs taoes where you only get like 2 episodes on one cart.

Same point as the cabinet itself , display. No one is putting in time on these and playing them seriously.

Stools are for decorative whimsy , , if these Cabinets have a HDMI output , then they are truly worth picking up , , , price is a bit steep however in 2024 , ,🧐🧐😸👍

IMO for the size, the price on these is kind of ridiculous. I mean, I paid $400 brand new when the first Arcade1up TMNT cabinet was released. Yes, it sucks that it has a cover song for the first game (and it's nice that this 1/4 scale cab has the original song), but at least with the A1up, I can stand there and play it like an actual arcade machine. I can't see actually playing these with the controls on the cabinets, so a USB controller is therefore a must. But it kind of defeats the purpose of the arcade experience. Perhaps these have solid build quality, but $300+ each is insane IMO for something this small. Even $100 would be pushing it IMO, but I could kinda/sorta see it with the cost of licensing factored in.

It’s funny how everyone focuses on April wedding ring which no one really cares yet the more obvious Mikey having orange wraps instead of yellow arcade accurate wraps on side panels plus the photoshop botch of the extra toes most people don’t seem to notice when it’s so obvious

Just me to have a small audio issue with all john videos, in all his channels, since several months? The audio seems to continuously swap between L and R channel. It's more evident if you listen with buds or headphones. Older videos are fine. Guess it's something related to the microphone.

I also got these.... while not cheap, totally worth the $300 a piece price tag! The cabinets you mentioned you want to see come out are great ones... but my grails would have to be the Mortal Kombat series. Recent interviews with some of the Numskull team make it sound like it's going to happen, just not anytime real soon.

I'm on the fence about their actual price $ worth , for one they are brand new and Not vintage at all ,two are they missing an HDMI output ? , ,Three these are running Arcade Roms , ,and not true arcade board , , , $175 would be max value , beyond that is money down the drain , , , without the signature $115 and not a penny more , , ,

@@wyldelf2685 price and worth are 2 different things.... worth is subjective. These are collectibles and are made in a limited run... after they're gone, they always go up in price in the after-market. As far as an HDMI out, they aren't missing... they were never said to be added. Numskull took a community poll asking people if they would be willing to pay an extra $10 to $20 for that, and the majority didn't want it. I never use the HDMI out on my NewWaveToys cabinets, it's really just a gimmicky feature to say you can anyway. And true arcade boards would be worse, people would have to deal with reliability issues with actual physical rom chips going bad. These are authorized Konami rom dumps from the original boards, you would never know the difference. As someone who collects high end collectibles with these and in other things, $300 isn't cheap... but it's a reasonable price for what you get if you love arcades.
