Just found this channel today.. been binge watching and found out about jhonny send it .. good news he's doing great.. he adds so much to the channel it's great..
For that sharp edge where you hole sawed, maybe use some fuel injection hose (3/8") slices down the center of the entire length and put it over the sharp edge to prevent cuts hands reaching down there and to clean it up some more.

so why not chop the pipe directly off the cooler, shorten it , then rotate it with bend pointing in the direction you want, then have your ford boy weld it up for you?????
The 6.5 is a damn reliable motor, not high powered but it's reliable and would be easier than a duramax. And cheaper. The duramax is heavy as hell, the cummins is lighter and there are kits for it, but the 6.5 is still easier
