UNLIKE ASH, Gou is actually how many Fanboys really actually are: He memorizes a ton of stuff about the thing he loves. Unlike Ash, i repeat. And i like his T-Shirt in the Flashback. Hence: Gou has interesting traits. But at the same time, he's really simple.
I was just thinking, whenever they bring it across and dub the series, for the openning, they should reuse the original English openning from the first season, starting off showing Ash to the first line "I want to be", then for this Gou character "To catch them all!" along with their Pokemon, it would work.
@@Starriaaa Nintendo delays important games all the time. Gamefreak wasted so many resources in their new franchise, half of their workforce and let Pokemon suffer. Also, they had the time Extention of the Lets go games. And this is the first real Main Series Pokemon Console rpg...

I’m not a fan of Ash being retired, outright, but since they often reset his character and refuse to let him grow (literally and metaphorically), I’m okay with the replacement because it would probably be the thing that would allow Ash to grow (in the minds of fans, at least, since you can make up anything if he leaves the show).
@Nill Null yes, he doesnt have to "grow" to be grown, but he doesnt grow in any way. he grows through a series, but in the next he is almost as dumb as episode 1 ash again, only exception being gen 2. BW ash, looses against beginner trainer and is a general idiot, SM ash, has to learn the same lessons he learned already again, not to mention he regularly forgets type weaknessess are a thing and many more things. if he grows, he doesnt really keep that growth for long.
@@Zoroark_Master Probably from the fact that, during an interview, the director I think said once that Ash winning the league would signify his end as the protagonist of the anime series, but that may or may not have changed, but this is more speculative on my part. But guys, listen. Right now, given what littke we know about this new series at the moment, we all have no idea where this is really going for the most part. @Nio37 There was a spinoff called pokemon chronicles or something were the showed the side characters doing stuff. On one episode Misty took her togepi to a temple and it turned out to be the temple's destined guardian and it evoled to togetic and by the law of pokemon if a cute mascot evolves it has to leave the party. There were some other episodes but this was years ago and i never saw it mentioned again so it must not have done well.
Gary became a Pokemon researcher like professor oak I remember it on Pokemon battle dimension final episodes when ash go back to pallet town and he battle Gary's electrivire
Personally, I really want them to adapt the Pokémon Adventures manga. They deal with a more mature audience, which most of the Pokémon fan base has become anyways.

As much as I'd like a prominent female protagonist, I feel like the Pokémon Company would've just added her to Ash's non-harem. So I'm willing to give this bro road trip a try as long as it means we won't get a million more gags about [insert female protagonist here] being teased about having a crush on Ash.

Well technically they were protagonist but not the main character. A easy proof of that is by looking at the promotional posters. This is first time where Ash is sharing the center. In the past the other character are either behind Ash, off to the side, or in the background.

If they're going to revisit the past regions, I really hope Ash would reunite with his old friends again not just Brock and Misty. Maybe travel with him again while at that specific regions. I want to know how are they doing now after Ash's league victory.

As someone who has nearly watched all the seasons, I wish Ash would just get his ending and be gone already. It's becoming far too repetitive now, and he can't develop proper emotions or bonds if they keep using him, as if he were a robot.

I like the fact the two have different goals, kind of representing Pokémon community has a whole. Like how Ash represents the competitive side the Pokémon while Gou represents the causal side of Pokémon.
Should've just called him Mach Also considering Gou, does it mean will see Ash's old Pokemon when he revisits the various regions, and give them a deserved second chance in a league (ex have Sceptile, in Hoen, maybe even see Greninja comeback)

I do think that this ash will be a mix of sun/moon's wacky ash and X/Y serious ash, with Gou being the more serious down 2 earth/mature trainer and their conflict will b that ash loves everything the way it is, while Gou is just more focused on catching the vast numbers of Pokemon without much of the bonding while boosting the strongest/wisest team for battle, which is rather cold in ash's opinion. I have a feeling that they will more like rivals than buddy-buddies, WHICH IM SOOOO OKAY WITH!! I really hope this will b kinda like if Gary traveled around with ash for a while b4 splitting away and returning again.

He looks like a boy. For the eyelashes part, In reality Most Boys have longer eyelashes than Girls. Most don't notice since girls are either wearing fake eyelashes or mascara. I literally just had a conversation with my mom about it. The concept that girls have longer eyelashes is a lie cause by girls wearing makeup. You can find boys who have more fuller and longer eyelashes even than some girls who had put on eye makeup.

Aren’t ash’s friends all protagonists as well with dreams? Iris wanted to become a dragon master, leading her to catch any dragon type like dragonite. Serena wanted to do those pageant things i forgot what those were called and they dedicated a few episodes to her before ash battled a gym or smth. ash is just too iconic and I would love to see him complete his journey.
