Knowing that the E is Mercedes's favorite car, the facelift for the E has always been a preview to what the next gen S class would look like. I like this new look for the E but the back lights I'm not a fan of. I personally loved the last models crystal back lights and wished they'd maybe evolve them and stick with those instead.
They changed them because people were saying the pre face lift had a rounded feminine looking back. As soon as they make it aggressive, people complain.
CengizhanMilfhuntürk Its an AMG performance model, why would you have it looking elegant like if it was an sclass. You need the design to be aggressive in order to compete with other companies. I wouldn’t want a fast family sedan to look like a boat but rather something that has a mean presence on the road.
Lol open your eyes then. Those headlights are completely different. It's a facelift but looks like a new generation. Other brands can only learn from this.
Ahmed Gafar yeah probably. It will be more like the GT63S I think. Large air intakes, massive quad rectangle tail pipes with aggressive rear diffuser, probably more muscular lines all round too. It’s going to be amazing 🔥

@@1990Thunderbolt I agree that they looked similar. But that more just elevated the presence of the C and E class, which may cannibalize the S class sales. For Mercedes' sake, I think it helps to have more distinguishment between each model, though. Because a big part of the higher end models is to show off.
The Quality of Content on this channel is unbelievable. For sure, you could grow quicker by churning videous out but i love the approach of quality over quantity and i watch every video knowing it will be a good one.
Shut up already. 90% of the comments of every single car review video is some idiots commenting about how the channel is underrated and should be bigger. Just because you like something doesn't mean everyone else has to know about it.
@@RemoveBeforeRace But, it is 2020, most smartphones or DSLRs or GoPros can record upto 4K@60FPS, and Closed Captions or Subtitles would be amazing. As a Mercedes fan, I would love to see road rests of older models of all Mercedes models.
9:20 I like the previous steering wheel much more! It felt so much more luxorious and well built, with the aluminium and all. This new one feels more cheap, chinese and plastic. It feels like they made a budget cut.

As much as I like the panamericana grill I think it looks best on the AMG GT and SUV models. I actually prefer the previous E face lift design better. The light bars in the headlights and taillights are iconic for 1, 2 and 3 lines to show the class. Now it just looks like it has CLA headlights. I think the 2 light bars in the taillights looked great and the C glass had it for a while strangely but now none of their cars have it.
the lightning and everything on the stage makes the car super gorgeous. Mercedes and AMG really know what they’re doing. this is not a sarcasm, i literally love the car, especially the rear end, it’s just beautiful. speaking of design, it’s all personal preferences, maybe for some it looks good, and for some it looks bad. Mr. Roken, you nailed the special effect, the smoothness between transition just blowing my mind lol
Wait until the new 63s release; then compare it with yours. 43 and 53 is just a standard version of AMG. Commented from a G63 owner and a E63s owner ( before the G63)
I have a 2018 E class. My lease is up at the end of the year... not to thrilled about this. Prefacelift was the most beautiful e class in my opinion. Maybe I’ll get a used one until they fix this mistake.
When I change the rims and drive past ur house, you will love it 🙂.....on a serious note thou you right. It doesn't feel like it has its own identity. It's gonna fall in the same trap of mistaken it for another model. Example a class from the rear
Significant change of the headlights also is the reduction of the daytime light strips. It used to be one for C, two for E and three for S. Seems it’s now down to one for E as well.
mercedes are the only car company that can do a facelift and make a car look like a brand new model yet its just a facelift, they are constantly innovating unlike their other german counterparts. good job benz
Pre facelift have a potential for another like 5 years to be modern and classy.If you buy new one, be ready for jokes from your neighbors you bought the A-class on steroids. The review was very nice however.
E class lost it`s identity. Last one was a bigger c class and this one will be the same after the new c class comes out. Props for review and videos. Love them.
@@dghost198 He's making reference to 2010 - 2013(w212). That car never was mistaken for any other model. The best bodystyle in my opinion and it was reliable. The 2009(w211) was not a good car.
the E63s will be amazing in this new shape, it’ll be one of the last good cars we will see in the E class shape since surely after a while they’ll be downsizing the engine sizes
Lindo Nkwanyana It’s for the new EU laws tho so theres no way around it unless Mercedes can be geniuses like Koenigsegg and get 600hp out of a 2.0 litre 3 cylinder engine which is insane

Joshua September it looks like a big ball with the Mercedes logo slapped on in the middle, also from my experience haptic controls on a steering wheel never really work.
The Beauty and elegance of the e class Always came from its simplicity, the facelift just doesnt Bring that to the table. Poeple hated the old one, for looking Like an c-class, Well thank you very much, now it Looks Like an a-class Sedan
@@youtubemanswagroy212 no it wont. there were leaks already. it will have the same (fake) exhaust tips like the C-Class... i prefer the exhaust tips of my E63 over the C63 tips. As an E63 driver you feel degraded... 😂

Just a side-note, the MB digital press launch execution for this car was done really badly. perhaps due to the unexpected cancellation of Geneva show, where it was supposed to be launched. anyway, beautiful car!
