Pretty sure when we kicked the crap outta England way back then that meant the United States will always be correct in any dispute. I fear the whole bike would be physically too small for me, but you are correct after riding for over 43 years I've concluded the most fun can generally be found wringing the neck of a small machine on a winding hilly road. While I have large cc machines for touring, you just can't ride a large capacity machine consistently hard on public roads without reaching crazy unsafe and illegal speeds. For a pleasure ride I find my older and less powerful bikes provide a bigger grin. Riding a less powerful bike "Fast" is more fun than riding a really powerful one "slowly" IME.

@@nuffflavor My personal opinion is riding any Sports style bike with the head down, butt up riding position greatly increases the opportunities for disaster, you just have so much of a better view of what's happening all around you with a more upright riding position and a tall one where you can see over other vehicles. The fact physically small bikes have less road presence doesn't help either.

R3's are already giving bigger bike's hell in the corners, and you can't hold open a 600 or a litre bike like a smaller bike. 2 more cylinders and a higher rpm with some more go go juice, depending on the road / track layout I don't see these having as much as an issue to keep up maybe even pass and should be less to insure giving weight and engine size. A good exhaust / intake and a tune might even suprise you.

@@BrendanRaymondKoroKoro 16k is still high and seems standard on many bigger inline 4s. My ninja 250 has redline at 13k but the rev limiter doesn't hit until almost 14k so it might go a bit into the red. I'm still not disappointed because I can't imagine it would really benefit from higher revs other than sound. I wonder if it is possible that they borrowed that tach from another bike because they haven't made the real one yet. Either way they didn't give us much information to go on because it is still early.
@sed8181
@sed8181 5 лет назад
@@BrendanRaymondKoroKoro I understand but the bikes from the 90s had their peak power at like 12k the extra revs would definitely help if the power doesn't drop off much. It is also important to think about reliability and service intervals. If it revs a little lower it is safer and may not need valve adjustments as often. I don't know if emissions/fuel economy are something that would be affected but I think it might.

I bet it will be a budget build from Thailand or Indonesia. It would have to come in under AU$10,000 (US$7,000) for it to sell here. In fact I’d suggest it would have to be in the AU$8-9,000 range to be successful. The motorcycle market stagnant here at the moment with most makes still trying to offload 2017 build bikes in just about every category so it would really need to offer a lot of incentives to get people to buy it.

@@xxthehuskycaboosexx As I'm approaching Ronnie's age one thing I can tell you age has to do with it, is contorting your body for long into the shape required for these sports bikes :) unless you are vertically challenged :). However mature riders remembering the 250's of our youth cannot help but get excited as we are taken back to the times of our teens with hot 250's and 350 or 400 versions of the same bike being the one that had the performance we yearned for. Despite growing older I can say after 43 years of riding, it still gives me the same thrill and grin in the helmet it always did. While I can still throw a leg over the saddle of something I'll keep riding for as long as I can.

60hp from an inline4 250cc sounds terrific, if the wet weight is right it would be even tempting for veteran riders , even if priced at 6000euros in europe. BUT i doubt if it will be sold in EU, at 60hp wont be good for our A2 license so for a little bit of extra cash people will just buy a bigger bike. Honda has already a similar bike , the CB250rr and its only sold in the asian market. These stupid EU laws are really ruining the fun of motorcycling. This 250 really screams the gold all days are back..hope i’m wrong tough. So other manufacturers can follow and more like these will be in the market.

RRP of this bike might be slightly less than the zx6r, but trust me there is no way that you don’t put a full exhaust system on this reving machine. If you do so you’ll need a dyno tune, then you’ll realize you need better brakes , you might start with steel braided brake lines. Thinking about all these upgrades can easily cost you another 2k$.I don’t know about you man but that’s no way that I could keep this bike in it’s stock form.
