Nice 🤙🏽 Ha I’m actually torn right now between grabbing a Spheros 3000 or just using a Nasci 3000 for a lightweight saltwater setup. They both have the core protect so it’s interesting especially since the Nasci is lighter, has more bearings, and is cheaper. Great reel.
This is a helluva reel for the money. The only thing that comes close is the Daiwa Fuego, which is a great reel but the Nasci just feels better in hand in my opinion.
Nothing like power knob , from its name it controls better than most knobs designe but becarefull little knobs r usually there to tell u that the reel is finese one so be kind with ur cranking under load .
Very intrested in getting a Stradic trying to decide on the fl and doing the Stella upgrades vs getting the new fm Stella model looking at the 4000 series reels
I do have some Stradic FL Upgrading videos. I would also have to say the Stradic FM reels should be similar if not the same. Hopefully I’ll have a few more videos up soon!
@@WestCoastFloridaFishing thanks for the response. I have ordered the parts and hopefully soon I can give you a success reply. I watched your Stradic upgrade video twice and it is really helpful. I will have it running when I do my upgrade. Thanks again.
Well I did very good getting all the bearings back in and blew it getting that piece with the springs and bearings. I had it on the first try but when I started putting the screws in it kept pushing everything out so when I pulled it out to line up again the brass bushing fell out and that was it. Not your fault just rookie mistake. I didn't know how to line it up right to match the screw holes the first time. Not sure what to do now. Any suggestions?
I got it. I watched a really good video on the clutch roller assembly. Found out the spring was on the wrong side of the bearing. Also learned to keep the aluminum piece on as it keeps the shaft bushing in place. Just pull all of it together. Now that I know all this I have no issues with a complete teardown.
This reel does not have the worm oscillation gear. If you see the schematic is has the standard cog gear with the main shaft resting pin so no bushing to upgrade out! Pretty simple on the inside!! Awesome reel for 100$
Thank you! The spool support cannot be upgraded unfortunately as there is no pin through system to keep it intact.. you could probably use it but be careful taking off your spool or it can all fall out
Im having a horrible time with this nasci and the miravel both wind knot problems and the nasci keeps dropping loops of braid down the spool. I close the bail manually both on gloomis rods not sure whats going on
4:42 makes me feel better that yours made the same noise. Thought reel was broken out of box as mine also made a slight rubbing noise when spinning handle
Great video! Any idea where I can get that stock paddle handle? I just ordered a Nasci3000 but I'm not sure if I'm going to like the stock T handle. Might want to put a stock paddle handle on it instead.
@@WestCoastFloridaFishing Sure do. Excited to grab one ASAP. Holds a whopping 100 yards of 4 lb test mono. I think I'm going to fish 3 lb Sunline Sniper on it.
whats your personal opinion, this vs Spheros sw 4000? and what body material in nasci? its like spheros sw (metal stem combine with graphite sideplate) or Full graphite? thanks
@@WestCoastFloridaFishing 00# grade semi solid grease would be good for fishing reel. I did once reel rated grease but i do find 00# grade works better.
It wouldn’t do horrible and you’re probably better off with the Shimano as the mag seal doesn’t help seal as much as you think it does. I 100% recommended the spheros SW for some saltwater usage. Basically a Stradic for almost half of the cost
I don’t think that’s a bad weight at all for most other aluminum reels in this size at this price range! Definitely not as light as the vanford at 6.3 oz but that’s mostly ci4+ so it makes sense..
@@artificialslinger9730 Yeah you can find the Caldia for $110 but its list price is double that. Soon we'll be able to find Nascis for like 70 probably lol. The Caldia is also a carbon-bodied reel.
@@artificialslinger9730 Just the opposite hear in the Ozark area. Mag sealed is Not considered a gimmick by the reel experts I know. As far as flex I don’t have any issues, and I can sent u pics of 2 Browns caught this year 1 ten pounds and 1 over 13 caught above the Rim Shoals launch on the White River - no flex. Also my brother just caught 19 pound Striper on Beaver lake with one of my old Cauldias and a 30 year old Loomis rod.
