Pity you missed the "Off Road" rider mode that works really well: disconnects traction control and rear ABS, leaves front ABS on. A must for off-road, and well done in this Scrambler. Otherwise, I love the new Desert Storm but I'm happy with my 2020, no changes that make me sad (I got the Brembo brakes and extra 10 hp with the 2020, so that's important).

Has this been the standard on the 900’s? I thought that feature was only on the 1200’s. I’ve been debating between the two and whether to go used on a past year

This is a brilliant example of why companies should use an intermediary between the tech guys and the user/media/sales staff etc. They need to have someone who is trained in communications/training/media/change to gain a full understanding from the tech/IT department about what the technology does. They should be the ones to transfer that into plain English so that Joe Bloggs can understand it without having to go around in circles. I felt for you here Bob, you tried your best to ask the right questions but the poor guy was the wrong person to be in that interview 😅.

I bought one last year and I'm dead chuffed with it, a great bike to ride. A 1200 version (no, not the current Scrambler 1200, completely different bike) would be the icing on the cake for me.👍

Great presentation as always, thank you. The bike looks great, but I still can't understand why Triumph doesn't put a double disk brake to the front. These single discs are mostly underperforming and make the fork twist which can ruin completely your cornering.

Maybe a fork brace would help (but I agree twin discs is a better solution for a 200kg bike)!

Plenty of People will pay monthly for them and are not rich. Nothing wrong with the Enfield. You will have some fun on it and enjoy the freedom it gives you.

@@seeker1432 67 bhp on a motorcycle is too much for the roads in my country anyway. 90 is roadkill. 40 to 50 is the upper limit. People who buy the ones having more than that are basically relatively rich people. Out of them, some buy it for the thrill and enjoyment of riding and owning a big bike (middle-weight; litre class; above litre class modern retros, ADVs, etc. considered as big bikes in my country), others just for a show-off. To put it simply, take the example of the Trident which costs nearly 9 lakh rupees (on road price) which is the cheapest in Triumph's stable. People buy sedans, hatchbacks and small SUVs at that price here. Not to mention, the mileage of a multicylinder big capacity motorcycle compared to a single cylinder one.

Probably even much better because it's air & oil-cooled, much lighter than liquid-cooled.

I must be the only one who does not like that urban "grey" color at all! The white from 2019 and 2020 models was so nice. With the added weight, lower MPG, and dropping the knee pads on the tank - all at the same price - I don't see these as an upgrade. I'd rather find a leftover '20 model. (The Sandstorm paint scheme and accessories are nice, though.)

Great video. The SOS app sounds really good. I do wonder if the phone could link up to the IMU in bikes that have one, and make the crash detection even better (and less false alerts) One scenario that I wonder if it is covered, if a rider is stationary at a junction, and then they get hit by a vehicle, does it detect that ? I only ask because dropping the phone at a petrol station shouldn't trigger the alert. Now if the app is integrated into mapping, then it could detect a fuel station, but you could drop the phone anywhere you stop.

They look just great . Rob one question :With Euro5 is the ABS still switchable in what they might call "Off Road " ? or just Traction control ..or neither .. ?? I am very glad they haven't dropped this very popular model .I just love my 2017 ..I like the lower power and 56 US MPG and regular gas .. I still need to upgrade the shocks ..Maybe with the spring tuneup and new tires at 14K . HAppy spring to you :) Guy

I really like SOS app, but on all cars (mandatory)... it is included for free. :). But it is a real lifesaver. about the scrambler... not my cupatea :D... that high exhaust... would always be thinking about it against my legs.

Too bad triumph isn’t more accessible here where I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 😢. I love these bikes! Beautiful machines! I have a friend who owns an older model tiger 800 and hasn’t ridden it all year because he’s way overdue on the service and can’t get it up to Oklahoma City for service. I guess the valves need adjustment also and the darn thing will barely even run at the moment. The local guy in Tulsa went out of business. He’s actually considering trading it for a Harley because there are two Harley dealerships in Tulsa. Too bad, I really like the styling of these Triumph bikes. Probably the only bike I would consider besides Harley. Love the Bonevilles.

Love the sandstorm look, but is basically just a paintjob and bolt-on accessories, I own an old model scrambler before they upgraded it. I'm looking to buy a new bike and I love the SS with all my heart but I can't justify buying the latest model, just sadly isn't enough of an upgrade, and like the 900cc model, the 1200 is just as wimpy. kills me because I do love the way the bike looks.

These bikes are really sweet ... but the pinch weld fuel tank is a bit annoying. Why couldn’t they just make the tank like on the Scrambler XC/XE ?? It just cheapens the look .

Euro5 should be the environmental standard, but if we consume more fossil fuels, then it makes no sense. Yes, the exhaust gases are cleaner, but what about the energy used to produce more fuel. It doesn't make any sense

The sandy is a nice enough bike .But the high front mud guard looks rubbish as does the rear guard. But thats my only opinion . Other's may think different. And respect that as it would be a funny old world if we all liked the same.

The first question that jumps to mind is why Triumph’s T120 Scramblers have aesthetically pleasing fuel tanks but then plunk these cheap to produce and ugly exposed pinch-weld tanks on this model? Sure, Triumph may save a few bucks but the pinch-weld tank gives the bike a cheap tin-toy look that runs counter to the original classic models.

Triumph would you please get rid of that cheap ugly pinched seemed fuel tank. You're Scrambler 1200 has a beautiful rolled fuel tank, we want to see that on all your bikes.
