I was forced to go in this when i was younger and i swear I had a panic attack while inside. I never knew I was afraid of being submerged in water surrounded by mechatronics
When I was a kid in the 70s I remember this ride as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Nautilus submarine ride. Looks like Disney has done some remodeling of the original ride.
ya, and removing the really great rides like Splash Mnt cause it was deemed offensive. I am hoping the new CEO will listen to the public out cry and leave Splash mnt. If they really want to remove something offensive, my vote would be the Trump fig from hall of prez
Fake or not, I would absolutely LOVE to go diving there. I as always scared shitless of the ocean, the vastness, the darkness, how deep it is, not knowing whats below you. But always loved the more shallow parts, where the water is crystal clear or super light blue, with coral reefs, color fish everywhere, see the light sand at the bottom. Could scuba diver all day.
I still miss the original leagues under the sea submarine voyage but this is definitely an improvement to the original finding Nemo ride replacement. Thank you for uploading and sharing!
@@rachelgz8940 It was not themed on any movie. The subs were originally based upon US Navy submarines (gray color scheme) and then later deep sea exploration subs (bright yellow color scheme) and lastly "Finding Nemo" movie themed. I was thinking the same thing. I remember when 20,000 Leagues was at Disney World. If I remember correctly, it’s been a long time, we got attacked by the octopus near the end. They didn’t have a big event in this one hey. Still, looks amazing. So colorful and vibrant. Way brighter than leagues was.
I was once scared to death of getting inside of this submarine attraction. Of course I was five years old. And when I finally did go on it, it became my most favorite ride at Disneyland. When WDW Magic Kingdom closed 20,000 for good, it was heart broken. Please Mr. Iger, bring it back to the Magic Kingdom. Please sir!
I think the old version with sharks, a giant squid and a sea serpent was better. Was at least somewhat scary and more interesting. I think this newer version should have at least featured a big finish like a whale.
I did 15 years in jail and the first time it went dead silent in there is when the COs played finding Nemo. The first Nemo that came out, was a treat !! That was 10 years ago & ( I've changed my life for the record)
Great color on your videos I can't wait to ride this with my granddaughter on November 3rd, this will be her first trip to a Disney park. I can't wait to see the look on her face when we get to the park!! thanks for the hard work you put into these awesome videos.
@@krystingrant6292 It was so magical Aunnalie had so much fun she actually cried and wanted to stay there, I think she will remember this trip for the rest of her life.Thank you for asking :)
I remember trying to go on this in elementary school, but freaking tf out before I could even take two steps into the submarine. It was traumatizing then, but now I just laugh at it
Bro my 8 year old brother did not want to ride this one becuse he saw the video about the 5 people who die on the submarine My mom had to take his phone away for a week becase of that So lol
i was curious too. turns out that it does, for the darker parts they cover the windows with bubbles and move under a platform to give off the allusion of descending
do you know if this is just a screen? or actually a live view of under the sea? it looks too little of a pool for this but not to sure havent been here in a while
Lmaooooo...I did this almost 20 years ago with my 5 year old and I was hella scared. I saw more fish that was real and the mermaid that swam passed us. However I thought we was deep and my husband had to calm me down and said they could tow us out if we got stuck..😅😅😅. Once she closed the hatchet she told me it was too late to get off....never again
When you were returning to port, at the waterfall, was it leaking for you? It was for me when we got stuck there for about 10 mins, the water was a few centimeters high then
Nice! But I grew up in the Grey Lady days. I miss them. It just feels like the magic has been replaced with commercials. Just sayin'. P.S. Grey Ladies? I rode them ALL!
I’m so glad I go to the orlando I would be crying during this ride I would probably pass out bc of being underwater I’m scared the boat/submarine will sink and we won’t make it
The dark side of movies like Nemo is after seeing Nemo children begged their parents to buy them live clown fish at pet stores and when the kids became bored as they inevitably do the fate of the poor fish could end up being flushed down the toilet.
In all my years I’ve never seen anything like this before I didn’t even know that it existed until now I definitely have to go here on my list of places to go
Thank you *so* much for doing such a great job shooting and sharing this video! I grew up near Disneyland & went often as a kid, but haven’t been back since. I’ve heard about so many of the new rides, but I’m sure that I never would’ve seen this one, though, as I have learned now that it has been closed forever. I never would’ve seen it had it not been for this video. Thanks again, LMG so much. You’ve made the little kid in this adult very happy! 💜🔮⚡️🪄✨❤️
You all should know this: I'll be very disappointed when Disneyland takes this beloved attraction away. I'm a huge fan of Finding Nemo, I will be very sad. I don't want it to happen, this attraction is a part of my life
Sure has changed a lot from when I went on it back in the 60's. Part if me thinks the update looks great and another part of me feels nostalgic for when it wasn't changed.
So they finally resurrected the old 20,000 Leagues Sub ride, and gave it a Finding Nemo theme. I hope this time this ride stays active for a decade or two.
Seriously this is worst ride in Disneyland and DCA. Even my 10 years old son say this is horrible during middle of ride. And we even waited 45 mins for this ride
I got stuck on this ride because another submarine had a medical emergency and we had to go backwards through the ride with everything off. The angler room was entirely lit though and the frozen anglers on poles in an otherwize empty white room scared the hell out of me 😭
