NEW 2022 SHIFT by Upper Park - Disc Golf Nerd 

For some reason my camera makes the bag looks a bit blue from certain angles. It's more of a dark grey but the kinda hex pattern fabric is almost somewhat iridescent in the light. I also hear these look great out in the sunlight but I haven't even gotten this bag outside yet!

Just ordered this bag. Looks super sweet. I don’t understand why no other brands make bags similar to this. The more separate pockets for discs, the better IMO.

I’m 60/40 on the bag right now. I Came from a Fossa sl 2.3 and loved it but is started fraying only after a year and wasn’t holding up well anymore and there is just not enough storage. The updated version of The Shift has a good idea BUT it’s very hard to get doscs out in the last vi TL slot. Also the vi up slots get stuck and you can only got 4 in the top sleeve and 3 in the other 2 sleeves. You should be able to fit at least 4 in each sleeve and THEN the space underneath the lowest sleeve meets the zippers on the side and discs get stuck so you have to put discs underneath that last sleeve and they fall forward in the bag and THEN you have to almost tuck the tilting backwards into the bag. If they can fix that it’d be a 90+/100 bag, no bag is perfect. But this needs to be fixed on another updates one and maybe no Waist attachments. A cellphone pocket would be great and a side pocket zipper like the Fossa Slim 2.3 too.the front pocket and two zipper is makes no sense as well.

Thanks for the vid, Nerd! That mesh pocket inside at the back- if I’m not using it to stow the fly, or carry anything else, I’m finding it slots a disc or two in there nicely.

Man keep up the great work! I love how thorough you are in your reviews. Definitely helps when looking at making purchases that in most cases I can't physically go and check out. I really like this bag and definitely will be an upgrade from my Innova Competition bag.

I’ve been using the shift for almost 5 years. Really good design and holds up well. The one thing to keep in mind is you have to keep it organized as you play. Cant throw your discs wherever on this bag keep it organized

I really like this brand and especially the look of this one... I would buy it for traveling, but I can't make it my every day/tournament bag. I carry more than 25 in my DD trooper, and I am looking to upsize without becoming too damn bulky

Does your shift bag have a large bend or "knuckle" in the bottom third of the back spine construction? I can't tell if it's by design for stability or not. It is causing quite a bit of lean in my bag Thanks for this review!

Dang. Was hoping they got rid of the side / waist pockets. Those things look like they would drive me crazy. Such nice bags, otherwise.

Does anyone know how the stability of this bag is on hilly terrain? Does it stay upright fairly well?

What did u do with the waist straps? I took the other ones off but there isn’t a way (that i see) to remove the ones by the waist pockets… no hole to get the straps off
