New (2022) vs Old (2020) / Breitling Navitimer B01 

I prefer the older design, and am glad I picked one up just before the refresh. Unpopular opinion, I know, but I prefer the B logo to the wings.

Old one everyday

They ruined it, the previous version was perfection, especially the panda one. The AOPA logo looks like Kaiser Wilhelm moustache!

You forgot to mention that the new model has a much curvier shaped saphire crystal which makes the watch look more flat compared to the old model which has much more depth.

Funny. I love the wing logo and date placement on the new, but I prefer the hands on the older model, and I like that the old Navi is full polish. The Navi is about big bold bling. Brushed metal is like putting a rock star in a tux, in my opinion. I went with the 2018, when it came down to it and saved about $1500.

As an owner of that previous model, to me the best part of the newer model is the cleaner slide rule. Everything else to me are minor upgrades. The logo is fine but I like the B as well.

Old logo is much better

I came across a Breitling Navitimer Model: S022C20NP that has the B Wing logo which has Breitling 01 movement. Can you please advise if the Breitling 01 movement is same as B01? Thanks

I would like a combination of both generations. Bracelet, movement and date position from the new one. Hands, stronger inclination and sapphire crystal from the old one. And as a cherry on top: The old Breitling logo (B with wings) and written underneath in the following order: Breitling Navitimer 1884. The new one only has Navitimer at the top on the 46 model, otherwise above the lower totalizer. Doesn't look good.

Old one looks better, especially thanks to the greater inclination of the scale on the bezel

The new AOPA logo is historically accurate, so thats OK for me. The new brushed bracelet and case looks more elegant. I don't need tachymeter scale, for that there is the Speedmaster :) The old one is too shiny. Shiny watches remind me of Invicta..

Love the Navitimer, and reading through the comments here has been interesting to see what different people like in them. I feel the B0127 with black face and black alligator strap is the most beautiful Navitimer. With the polished finish, the gold B wings (I didn’t think anyone would want to buy a Navitimer without this logo), the open back and cursive engraving/embossing on the back make this a master piece for me. I prefer the look of the newer hollowed out self winding mechanism in the 2022, it opens up the back very nicely , and the date window being on the 6 balances the faces out perfectly, but for the B0127 still takes the win for me.

The only thing I hate about the Navitimer is that it is uncomfortable to wind and/or set. Something about the way the crown and bezel match up, it’s hurts and is difficult to set. Takes almost 3 minutes when my other watches can be set in 30 seconds to a minute

Only good changes are the AOPA logo and less thickness. I dont like the brushed case, subdial changes and all the other small tweaks.

AB012012 is peak Navitimer. After the refresh the logo is lamer, so is the date cutout, the Navitimer lettering is... just there and part of the scales are removed, the design of the propeller like sub dial hands is also gone. Absolutely atrocious.

Much prefer the new version. Moving that crooked, ugly date wheel to 6 o’clock was a great idea.

The new bracelet is better

New one looks a lot classier with the brushed case/ bracelet. The old one was way too trashy looking

Easy decision, take both!
