I love seeing the new Cover Girl eye quad you used today. It’s exactly what I have been looking for. I have been wanting an easy veil of neutrals that isn’t too pigmented, brown or rosey. Something that pulls me together with an effortless feel - and 4 shades? Perfect! I am a skeptic of Clean makeup too. Think back to the 70s and 80s when Cover Girl’s marketing was “Clean Makeup” back then, but their parent company was the Noxell Chemical Company and the smell of Noxzema permeated everything. Lol. The clean makeup marketing defined the minimalist look featured by models like Cheryl Tiegs and Christy Brinkley and the smell was subliminally clean. I personally did not like that scent. I do think their products have come a long way since then. My greatest concern is cruelty free. Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for the review of these new products, I know I can trust you in telling us your true experience with them. I still can't believe the prices of the drug store products, some of the products have literally gone up $4-5 in one year, my favorite mascara for one. I'm not cheap, but I don't waste anything so like to see honest reviews first or get trial sizes when I can.

I purchased everything in the video about two weeks ago. I wanted the Revolution powder too, but it wasnt available for purchase yet, even though Ulta had a page for it. I also got the new Juvia's Place foundation and the new Revlon one. It was hard choosing the lip liner shade, I was drawn to the name caramel, but got espresso instead, after looking at photos online. I got three of the eyeshadow palettes with a buy 3 get 1 free and 20% coupon, so they were $7.46 each. I got the beige, pink and smokey. I've been so inspired to try new makeup from watching RU-vid that I had all the new makeup and there were no videos posted yet from anyone so I was patiently waiting. It's fun to see what others think of the products. We all have such different tastes, preferences and skin types, plus the way we prep our skin is a huge factor and I'm glad you mentioned that. I feel the same way you do about the Nyx foundation, I think it's good. I've also now seen several people hating it.

Ooh good haul there! The NYX definitely will feel dry on skins that don't prep. I can tell when the temps drop here and I wear it my skin looks a little less glowy.

I love angled concealer brushes! My favorite is Sephora 71, but if Real Techniques is 1/3 the cost, that's even better. 🙂 Best wishes to you for a wonderful 2023.

I really like the new Milani tubing mascara, and while I’ve never tried the Thrive one, I think it’s exactly like the Hourglass tubing mascara. I love it.

The foundation looks great, however last thing I need is more foundation. Lips also look great despite the silly name, and higher than usual price for elf. Always giggle when I watch your videos!

I have the kitten paw by Real Techniques - it´s a little pokey to me. I also order the BK beauty and can´t wait to try it out also. It is a great style of brush. Oh (see what I did there, lol), I´m telling myself the new ELF lipstick is O for Oh, this is a nice lipstick.

Great reviews, thank you. I didn't love the Thrive mascara when so like you not that excited about the Milani, though I do like a tubing mascara. So far, my favorite is the Caliray, though it's a bit pricey...

I absolutely love the NYX line loud at Ulta. It's less than $10 and really stays put. The l'oreal matte ones are also very long wearing. Hope that helps!

Whenever I’m having a blah day nothing picks me up like a good drugstore shop ☺️. This has me excited to take a little gander into my local drugstore and see what’s up here in Canada. 😉 That CG eyeshadow looks interesting. I have the Essence ones and the ELF ones and recently picked up the Wet n Wild ones or maybe it was Hard Candy….hmmmm. Anyhow the colour story of that CG one excites me with its “basicness” lol LOVE the colour of that ELF lipstick. I just ordered a tube of the Milani tubing mascara from Ulta earlier today. Wish I had watched this first to also grab one of those RT concealer brushes. 🤨 I also bought one of the elf luminous putty bronzers, 2 blushes and a putty eyeshadow! 😀

Ooh, that's a good idea. I only have the Tower28 highlighter. I can tell you that the Tarte Sea cream bronzer is similar to the ELF, and I prefer the ELF

Enjoy your videos! However, the camera lighting is so overexposed I can't make out any of the detail you are trying to show us. Won't stop me from watching but wanted to mention.
